Unless he has footage of you doing it idk what the cops can do.

Or he reads Tiger Droppings, because you just posted on-line the fact that you did it.

Innocent until proven guilty. Don't admit to anything. Keep doing it but from different spots.

Also.........This is exactly why I don't live in a subdivision. 10+ acres and I get to pee in my yard, hot tub naked, and cuss at the dogs, cat, and wife.

I broke this past weekend when he didn’t turn it off and shot it out with a pellet gun.

You didn’t “break”; you took the decisive action you should have.

I don’t know what else to do.

Nothing else. Just keep shooting it out when he repairs it.

Climb up there and cover it with a garbage bag....Yes. Shoot it with a gun....No.

What a pussy solution. The guy would just take the garbage bag off. Then what? Are you going to put a garbage bag on every night?

The only mistake the OP made was posting this on TD. I’d deny it and keep shooting it out. He probably needs to shoot it out from a dark room in his house and through an open window. Inevitably the dick next door will employ a camera.

O.P - We went through the exact same crap with our new neighbor a few years back. They moved in with arrogance and the floodlights on every corner of their house. We asked about them and the response, "they're not that bright!" Refused to come to our property to see what it looks like.
I feel your pain because now you gotta live next to a jerk. Punk him!

There is a light pollution law and light trespass that you may look into. It varies among areas. Bright lights MUST be pointed DOWN in a fashion others can't see the bulb.

I probably would have knocked on his door around bedtime a few times to remind him, rather than going straight to the pellet gun after just one ask.

Knock on the door at 3 AM.

Ever hear of black out curtains? And I seriously doubt that his fixture is able to bend light around you entire house and shine inside.

How did it frick up the light socket? My outside floodlights break or something happens and they crack but never has the socket messed up. He’s lying.
