I think we have a culture that is very "all or nothing" in regards to issues because we are so polarized. We have no room for nuance.
Do I want to go to war for Israel? Absolutely not. Do I want to send them less money and have our politicians be less in their pockets than they are? Absolutely. But I would still rather see them succeed than Iran.

Not that a direct impact is good, but if that's all Israel receives from this, I think it's safe to assume Iran is essentially dead.

I am always amazed when I see these missiles hit at night and hardly a light flickers. I get a stiff breeze and my power may be out for 5 hours sometimes. God forbid a car crash into a pole in a 5 mile radius of my house.

Like the other poster said there’s no nuance anymore. And a lot of people pick which ever side they think their opponents hate.
In this particular case a lot of people are just tired of propping up Israel. I dislike Iran more but that doesn’t mean I want the US to keep supporting Israel as much as they (politicians of both parties) do

Jennifer Griffin made a good point that it could be propaganda that planes were shot down.
Now Israel is saying it is also inaccurate.

This is going to be a tougher fight than WW2. We had numbers in WW2. We do not this time. Yeah, the West has more countries, but not more people.

It's a weird world we live in now. Israel has to be getting nervous that the boomers are dying out, because it's common for even younger Jewish people that dislike Israel the country. I personally don't like or hate Israel, but dislike basically financing them. I also get extremely frustrated that we have senators with dual citizenship to US and Israel (or any other country) and it's hard not to see just how much money we give them.
