Not me. That sounds like a waste of American lives and resources. We have the capability to carpet bomb all their military sites without putting actual boots on the ground.

If Iran actually does this, they would be the singularly dumbest regime in the history of the world. Right now the majority of the American public doesn’t want to go to war with Iran at all. We don’t even want American missiles used. If Iran attacks military bases in the region, there will be a majority of Americans that support boots on the ground nation demolition.
Just what Israel is counting on.
Trap. Bait. Americans die for Israel.
And to Iran's point, we did fund and supply all those planes, bombs and intelligence for Israel. It's not like we're not complicit.
The US doesn't have our little Chihuahua on a tight enough leash.

Vietnam, Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Iraq have all shown that air superiority is paramount for military success, destruction of governments require boots on the ground.
If a government attacks the US first, the deserve to get flattened

Has Iran struck back at Israel yet?

We sell planes, bombs, and intelligence to virtually everyone around the world. Is doing business does not make us complicit in Israel’s actions.
I want the US to stay out of this conflict and adopt a pre-WWI strategy, sell whatever military equipment to either side and let them duke it out.

I’m not a Zionist nor am I some blinded forever Israel supporter. I don’t give 2 shits what Israel does in the ME as long as Americans aren’t in the line of fire for it.
If Iran attacks an American military base, you know, sovereign American territory, we should retaliate as swiftly and brutally as possible, only withholding nukes from action.

More like Iran encouraged theirs to attack. This is a war between Iran and Israel. Let them fight it out between the 2 nations.

Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq cost tens of thousands of American lives for absolutely nothing long-term. Yugoslavia sorted itself out eventually.

I am curious if Iranians would rise up against the regime after Israel/US nerf the military and secret police

Fat fingered it on an iPhone and autocorrect interpreted as there’s. Sue me.

Again, I’m not arguing for American intervention at all, much less boots on the ground. I’m simply saying that if you go to war with a country, you can’t just bomb them from the air.

So then other countries can take control and drag the world back into multiple world wars before we start being the police again.

Depends on the goal. You certainly can knock the Iranians back enough to where they can no longer afford developing nukes bc they are too busy rebuilding the rest of their military and economy.
