I'm a Wine and Vagina snob
It's important to let both breathe before tasting

I’ve never met one, which may be an indication of my station in life.

Minus smelling the cork, this is actually the proper way to open a bottle of wine. I’m not a wine snob but I do know how to open a bottle of wine. It’s imperative to let the wine breathe and swirling then sniffing before a sip is normal.

One smells and tastes better than the other.

At least with wine you can decant it.

This you? Beer snob? I think this is you. Is there anything worse than an OP beer snob? Nope.

In theory, smelling the cork can expose cork taint/rot, but it’s much easier to smell/taste the wine than the cork. It’s an anachronism that just won’t go away, apparently.

How about a Beer snob. They are more sure of themselves with less to talk about.

No wine snob here but getting the movie "Sideways " is reason enough to tolerate them.

I’m both. Try to keep vino (instead of wine to piss off the OP) under $15 a bottle. Josh cabs are good enough.

To enrage him further, and true story, I like to poor my imperial IPAs into wine glasses and swirl. I can almost tell what brewery it came from.

I can tell the difference between a $5 bottle and a $20 bottle but cant tell the difference between a $20 and a $100. Plenty of folks out there can, though. There's nothing wrong with appreciating nice things and autism
