God forbid it ever be one of your loved ones. I would move heaven and earth to find someone I loved in this situation.

I hate BRPD as much as the next guy, but they dont owe the public all the details of their investigation. Sounds like they knew what was going on the whole time, but not saying it because they knew the body would turn up.

Sometimes, experience teaches you to wait for the next lead instead of deploying all your resources in vain.

This story is getting more attention than it ever should have, likely because the deceased's wife controlled the narrative from Georgia.

The moral of this case is if you play with fire, eventually you get burned. Although the death is tragic, this isn’t a case that should strike fear into everyone. Cause of death is the bi product of a lifestyle choice that will never be completely safe, especially in an inner city.

I had same thought that it would be a hop on/hop off on way back to rental car place (aka airport). I'd pull the cameras from that jack in the box on corner and see if the rental car drives past. Just one theory. Can also get on board with trap house theory too.

Hey you know what? Remember that thread back in 2011 when you asked OTers to admit to being felons and then you proceeded to judge all of us for having criminal records?
You Called us trashy with bad upbringings and bad parents?

Yea I do. frick you, I wish it had been you instead of Millard.

If I had to speculate, either he od'd or was killed in a trap house (leaning towards OD if his DoC was opioids), then they waited a few days, got the stuff to wrap him in, and dumped him there late one night

from the information we have at this time its like 98.546217644% that its not anymore or less complicated than this.

You do realize this isn’t the politard board?

Me and him will rassle naked.

All I'm saying is the family and media propped up a false narrative that caused unwarranted paranoia in Baton Rouge and cost real resources.

This. Always this. I make random, sarcastic, and occasionally funny comments to entertain myself. I’m not too worried about how others react, unless of course I get banned.

I'm not saying the guy didn't make absolutely reckless decisions that lead to his demise but his wife had nothing to do with it.

But the family and media let everyone believe he was just an unlucky innocent man who was abducted while walking 250 feet back to his hotel.
yeah - this was a nice little narrative until we were told about the fake little FaceTime call

I'm stating the obvious here but wrapping a body like that takes time and a discrete place to do so, this isn't a random shooting incident or something like that

Exactly. She rambled about his kids and how horrible it was wondering what happened to him.

She could been more transparent and added something like "part of me fears he may have relapsed and he may be in seedy parts of the city. Please help us find him and bring him home to get the help he needs."

THAT would have been transparent and HELPFUL. He may have even still been alive at that point!

It's on the way to/from the airport.

Not saying it's the business partner although it's a damn weird circumstance to be the last known person to see him alive. Maybe he overdosed business partner's hotel room or rental car and he dumped him. Seems like there would be video footage either way with all the hotel cameras and security cameras downtown.

People get killed in north Baton Rouge, but rarely middle aged white guys here on business. And thugs that rob people out of opportunity don't bother moving the people they murder.

There are cameras on 3rd street in front of most of those restaurants and businesses. Shouldn't be hard to find him walking towards his hotel after he left Happy's. It would be kind of suspicious if he wasn't on camera in front of Happy's, The Watermark, the ATM by B&T's, B&T's, Stonehenge, and the Marriott itself.

You haven't been following the story ... We've known for days that he intentionally didn't go back to the Hotel. he was on camera hanging out with a homeless guy on Florida blvd. (i'm sure they weren't discussing 18th century Russian literature).

With the facts we have now the idea that the "business partner" was involved is borderline ridiculous. People keep saying its on the way to the airport ... If you are suggesting the business partner dumped him there on his way out of town that would mean he did it AFTER he called the cops to report NM missing which would be dumb as #$%^.

This was posted by Cajun Navy last night on Facebook. So sad.

thanks to everyone who helped this weekend in the search for Nathan Millard, city cleanup and outreach. We will still continue to search and need more volunteers. In the search and cleanup, United Cajun Navy volunteers and community partners encountered alot of dangerous trash. Some of the medications picked up are in the photos. Please keep the family and friends of Nathan Millard in your prayers. Also, Say an extra prayer for Volunteers who are experiencing dangerous situations. Agreed. I can tell you from experience that it’s almost impossible to find a rug at 3:00 am after a night of drinking when you’re in a strange town.
