Yes. You will be 65 with a decent chance of sever health problems when your kid is 20 and beginning his life. Please don't ruin his best years because his dad is fighting cancer.

Severe health problems on average do not start until older than 65, imo.

My parents were 41 when my mom gave birth to my sister and I.

They were perfectly healthy and active people well into my 20s.

If you want another child, have one. Don’t ask the OT. Discuss it with your wife.

I don't think so. I'm 41 with a 2 year old. I guess if I were in my 30's I'd have more energy to play and stuff, but I'm holding up fine. Though now that we are on the tail end of the super young years, he started sleeping through the night when he was only a couple of months old, I already feel tired thinking about having to do that again. And having two young ones would be a different game entirely.

Personal call but keep in mind how old you’ll be 15-20 years from now. Would you be able to keep up with the youngins? They’ll need it.

I had my son at 50. Wife is 10 years younger. He's about to turn 13. I'm teaching him mechanics, and we're about to purchase and rebuild a classic Mustang together. He plays golf with me, goes hunting and fishing with me and is learning the fine art of cooking from me.

It's like having a grandkid, only, you don't send him away to get fricked up by his parents. I enjoy being a dad at this age. I work in advanced technologies, and having a kid keeps you sharp and young.

The only drawback is that I can't pawn him off on my parents to take a trip with just the wife. So, we take family trips. It's all good.

I have a 2 month old, I turn 43 today. She wasn't planned, but wouldn't change it for anything. I have a 9yo too, and it is night, and day different then when I was 10yrs younger. The lack of sleep is harder, and finding time for myself is gone again, but it's all good. You'll forget about it all every time they look at you and smile.
