That is not true at all. You can regret having too many kids especially if you cannot afford them

If and when you 40 somethings have kids, you're going to be exhausted by the effort it takes to raise them.
Many paraplegic and even quadriplegics have kids, and do perfectly fine job raising them, a fully functional adult should have no trouble at any age, you adapt to your level of ability.

Any other kids?
It is a personal decision. I would do what the wife wants. Failure to do so will likely suck for you.
WE have three. I was 29 for the first, 35 for the second and 36 for the third (an infertile wife that had to have IVF for #2 was pregnant 5 months later )
My only ask was that I would not be changing diapers in my 40s. We made it. I will say this... #3 is a HS Sr this year and I am 53. I really, really want to be an empty nester. She is by far our best kid of three but I am done with kids in my house.

Wife is in mid-30s. She can have kids until she is near mid-40s. Have as many as God wants you to have.

How old are the kids you have?
I’m 37 with a 17 year old and the thought of starting over terrifies me, no way I’d do all that again. I like kids. Other people’s kids. I Don’t want to be responsible for people anymore, no matter how tiny they are.

I’m 46 with two kids. Both great kids. I’ve enjoyed raising them.
One is leaving for college in the fall and the other is 13.
There is a bayou about 3/4 of a mile from my house. If my wife came home tomorrow and told me that she was pregnant, I would chain myself to an engine block and drown myself in that bayou.
