There are definite advantages to having kids when you're older. All the "you'll be exhausted" shite is just if you're a lazy fat arse. My youngest is now 8 and I was 40 a month after he was born. Most people start to slow down a little at that age. Not old man slowing down but you're not really interested in Tuesday night concerts or drinks till 2am on Thursday nights or whatever. If a baby is kicking your arse at 40 you might as well just cash it in anyway.

I had my son at 44 . Best thing that has ever happened. We are so close and he absolutely makes me feel younger . No regrets at all .

I wouldn't say starting at 27 is early. That's the usual age to have a kid. I was 24 (not planned) and I think that's young. But I'm enjoying now cause people think we are brothers. I look very young fo rmy age and my son goes to NOMMA so the cammies makes him look older.

i have a friend that had his first kid at 50. He says its tough keeping up but he doesn't regret it one bit.
Wife had a friend who was married to a 59 year old. They had their first kid when he was 60. Strangely his first daughter is older than his wife. They seemed super happy last time we saw them.

Didn'tv start till in my 40s...
Pros. Kids are amazing. Didn't have a really unhealthy lifestyle but changed things up for the better so that i can increase the odds ofv playingv with the grandkids( as opposed to being the old dude in the cardigan that never leaves his chair grandpa)
Cons. When i want to retire...theyll be in college. Trying to balance work and play time with little ones that dont care about deadlines

Acquaintance of mine is mid-50's expecting his third. Had his first at 48. Wife is early 30's. If you want kids, go for it. Life is too short to worry about what MIGHT happen.
