I’m “only” 37. Just had my 4th kid in 2018. 2 girls followed by 1 boy and now a new baby girl. I wouldn’t change anything, but at this point , I’m all the way done . I’m 100% positive. No regrets , but I do not EVER want to go through this again. Especially in my forties.
Best of luck if you choose to, but I personally plan to take corrective action to specifically prevent that or any more...

I'm 45, have a 3 year old and my wife (30) wants another. I can't imagine depriving her that but man itll be tough to start over with diapers and terrible 2's etc.

Honestly it really depends on what your health and activity level is. There are plenty of people in their mid-40s that are healthier and more active than those in their mid-20s.

Every one is different. I was almost 35 when our second kid was born. I don’t think I’d have the energy to do the lack of sleep thing again. It was a big part of why we stopped at 2. I know first time parents in their late 30s and they would say it is worth it. If you or your wife really want a kid, the trade offs are worth it.

I would not intentionally do it. My last one is 16, I am in my early 50s. Looking forward to all of them be adults, legally speaking.

My youngest is 6 months, and I’m 43. No it’s not to old. I think it’s more of an adjustment to my lifestyle than it is to me physically. If you and your wife are open to it, go for it.

I think it's a great thing to have a kid at any older age. You're more established and financially set to give him/her a great life. I'm 41 with a 16 yr old and I couldn't imagine having one at this age. But I've been a single dad for 15 yrs now and having the best times with my son.

Yes for sure, you will be doing the Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon when you get to be my age. I don’t regret it, but it’s not gonna be a party

Can you do it, sure. It will bring you loads of happiness. Should you, not imho. The fact that you are asking opinions here suggests to me that your heart isn't in it. I fell kids are tons of work, worth it it...yes, but tons of work. It sounds as though your wife wants kids and you are unsure. I guess this is one way to explore. Good luck.

I’m your age and I have a 7 month old. The nights were not bad at all. But I can fall back asleep fast. He is already sleeping through the night. Trying for another one now. Glad to see there are older dads here too. Kids are awesome. For me it gives meaning to life.
