Is It Possible to Have Too Many Hobbies?

I'm endlessly curious about a large variety of subjects--from working out and training, to a variety of arts, to volunteering. Any hobbies I set aside are quickly replaced with others. Sometimes I wonder if I have too much going on.
How many and what hobbies do you currently have?

If I have any free time, I'm going to fill it with something. I'm going to build something or restore something or invent something, etc.
Your actual hobby is filling your spare time with something constructive.

Only if you dont have the money to support them

Hobbies are great but take care that they don't just become distractions from yourself.

Depends on how expensive they are. Being into guns, golf, poker, and bourbon is a bigger problem than being into volunteering, reading, jogging and bird watching.

I could be looking at a mirror with this post.
Dozens of hobbies.
Shooting sports and volunteer range work are high on the long list.

I work very hard and long hours sometimes, so one of my favorite hobbies is kicking my feet up and doing nothing.
I'm actually doing that right now watching the golf. Let's go Sammy Burns.

There is truth to the saying "The things you own end up owning you".

I'm not really into collecting things though. I value experiences and accomplishments.

Depends on if they are all on a set schedule or if you can do them whenever you want to.
I know retired people that have scheduled activities almost everyday, and sometimes multiple ones a day.
That is unneeded stress for me so I do mine without rigid schedules.

Moreso, I think I've always just felt the finiteness of time coupled with an inherent curiosity of things. We only have so much time on this rock and there are so many things to experience and accomplish.

I'm retired and have several hobbies, each of which is more expensive than the last one. So far in retirement, I've taken up mountain trail hiking, travel, riding BMW motorcycles, keeping a classic Porsche running, writing novels, astronomy, astrophotography, stamp collecting, photography, Photoshop, and even more travel.

I help with a number of golf tournaments. First Responders, Folds of Honor, KBG and Cystic Fibrosis. I’ve built houses for Habitat for Humanity, I’ve opened and closed shelters for American Red Cross. An I volunteer at the Food Bank.
I’m asked to help with consulting of different projects.
I’m the busiest retired guy you know.

Being curious about something and trying new things isn’t a hobby.
