getting into sports cards was a big one for me but its getting to the point where its taking up most of my extra money . I dont do it the way I should ,I happen to enjoy it in the least profitable way possible, opening retail blasters and mega boxes ...I think I would do better with hobby boxes but that would take things to another level financially ,but it would also give me a better chance of hitting the lottery so to speak

I don't think you can have too many hobbies, but you can have too many expensive hobbies. I think they key is a mix between more expensive hobbies and less expensive hobbies.

Me for example, I enjoy the outdoors. I love going to national parks, state parks, beaches, hiking trails, birding. All of these are either free or relatively inexpensive hobbies. I also dabble in table top gaming. Nothing serious but I'm in a game group that meets every other week. It's fun and it's a free hobby for me as I'm not buying the games.

I'm getting back into tennis, which I played in grade school and high school, and then also played as an adult regularly for about 7 years until Covid. I kept playing occasionally until about 2022 but stopped and really have played much in the last 6 years. I'm starting to get back into it, but tennis is an expensive hobby. The court reservation cost isn't bad, but if you buy a new racquet that gets expensive, and the biggest expense by far are group or private lessons.

I used to be into photography, but that is a very expensive hobby and I eventually just stopped being into that.

I'd like to get into fishing as well. I know that's more expensive up front, but once you have the equipment, it's not expensive to maintain.

But I imagine it would be very hard and expensive if you were into say, golf, boating and hunting. Or say golf, tennis and ATV'ing. Those are all very expensive hobbies.

Good friend of mine used to say, "my hobby is collecting hobbies."

I wonder this just with guys on the MSB…some posters have enough time to watch The Open, most of the World Cup, MLB, and will chime in on the latest offseason NBA and NFL news, all while counting down to CFB.

I don’t get it. There’s 24 hours in a day, and you gotta sleep…

Oh, and they’ll have time to watch the newest things to stream. I don’t know how that can happen.
