its statistically within the range of 1 standard deviation from the norm...
85 would not be significantly different from a 100 iq.

I had a choice at one particular time to date these 2 girls. Met both for lunch at separately, of course. Both thin beautiful brunettes. Ended up marrying the much smarter one. As far as age goes, and if I were single, it would not matter at all.

IQ is a powerful force in all relationships.
The higher the IQ, the better your ability to process information, generalize learning, develop creative solutions, and plan for future situations.
Humility is an important trait as well. Because no matter how high your IQ, if you have pride issues, you will act as ignorant as someone with an 85 IQ. Because you refuse to learn by considering all the data.
Age is relationships can be an issue but if both members have similar IQ and stable personalities - it won’t be an issue.
Worst case scenario. Low IQ and prideful. Those people are intolerable.
