I've never heard or read a negative word from a single person who actually ate El Magey.

My parents(in their 70s) were a bit overwhelmed at first b/c they didn't know what to get or how to make basic mexican shite.
But after I showed them how to make their own bad arse tacos/burritos they were impressed.

Then she loves buffet's, just the higher end ones. Sounds like my wife. She'll go to Texas de Brazil, but not Golden Corral.

She claims to hate them at least. She wouldn't go in a Golden Corral. The one I mentioned is a Mexican buffet. It sounded gross to me too the first time someone told me about it but it's quite good imo.

They serve you on your plate. You walk down and say "I want dat!" and they put it on your plate so you don't touch serving utensils.

Same as the Slipper. Went to get crab legs and goof off a little, and it was packed.

Ron White had an amusing quip about them using “corral” in their name—something about cows and the feeding trough. Expecting them to set up a salt lick next to the chocolate fountain.

One can only hope. The demand for bourbon street chicken with kid boogers on it never should've existed

And they have Lengua on the weekends. I think I’m going there tonight

I'm curious how this will play out on cruise ships in the future. Wife and I had quit going to the restaurants because of how long it took to eat, and had the same foods on the buffet.

I suspect it will be similar, but instead of you getting your food, they will plate it for you.

As long as America is in the obesity epidemic, there will be a demand.

It's not nearly as bad as Golden Corral I'll give it that, but I wouldn't make a point to go there.

You would think so. But consider the behavior of those who keep Golden Corral in business? Will they alter their habits?

The type of people who frequent Golden Corral are not concerned with Covid. They're already dead from it.

I haven't seen a buffet open since March 2020. Is this business model over forever?

The only time the shitty Chinese buffet a block from my house hasn't been slam full was the two days they didn't have power after Sally. Buffets ain't going anywhere

I went to a nice buffet in Vegas last year, they had everything portioned out into little individual containers. So you didn’t use any utensils, if you wanted mac and cheese you just grabbed a cup of it that was already made. I liked that.
