My favorite dish is that BBQ Chicken that's all the way down on the far end closest to kitchen. It's not even Mexican but god damn it's good. NOM NOM NOM.

I remember often being stoned as a kid with my hellion friends and walking by or behind a western sizzlin or a Ryan's on the way to a blockbuster or CD store, thinking how good that flame cooked beef smelled.
Simplier trashy times were the better kind.

Some of them are open.
Most Golden Corral Buffets are cafeteria style where a server gets your plate and you tell the server what you want.
It is Piccadilly like without the guilty look when you get to the end of the buffet and see you spent how much on food.
Some other buffets are open and said what the hell. You can grab some gloves if you want and serve yourself.
I saw Ocean Star in Houma do this, and Island View Casino’s buffet in Gulfport.
One nice thing about Island View is that they are still barring children on the property so only have “adults” possibly touching the food surfaces.

You walk down and say "I want dat!" and they put it on your plate so you don't touch serving utensils.

Worked at a GC as a manager for a year. Restaurant does not make a profit. Cost of meat is too high with all of the waste. Most GC’s are tax write offs. Could not stomach watching 300 pound diabetics in wheelchairs missing limbs that were cut off bc of their disease come in and sit at tables all day, everyday eating everything they could get their hands on. It was similar to watching someone eat themselves to death. Final straw was when someone in a mile long line at Thanksgiving shat themselves, wiggled it down their pant leg without being noticed and continued to stand in line to get their fill/full, dropped that turd and left it for someone else to find and clean up.
