It's not bad at all. I've been to 4 in Texas. There's the appropriate number of people there. A lot of people, but nowhere near Alabama. No issues getting in or out, or parking, or checking out. Alabama is just crazy. We won't even stop there because it's a madhouse.

The one in Foley is ridiculous and I may never go back. The one in Madisonville, TX was nice, no crowds and the brisket sanwiches were on point.

Buc-ee’s is perhaps the most depressing, most hopeless, least edifying construct of the last century. Rather would I spend my days doing the duties of a mudlark or Groom of the Stool than enter Buc-ee’s again. If one could capture all that is bad about America and put it in a snowglobe, that snowglobe would have a Buc-ee’s in it. It is a destroyer of culture and dreams,a soul murderer, an inversion of the Garden. When future civilizations look back at the beginning of the end for the United States, they will point not to pandemic, not to racial strife, not to the decline of Protestantism, not to economic collapse. The sage ones will see the spread of Buc-ee’s throughout this land as the tipping point at which America went from civilization to chaos.

I honestly entered this establishment hoping to do a Top 10 things about Buc-ee’s. I truly did. But I could not. Once I entered that massive lot, and saw the totality of it all, I recognized it for what it is: a new incarnation of Baal.

Friends, I can now try to cleanse the body and spirit from the filth only by condemning in this list the horrors I saw, the fouls I smelled, and the fullest experience of perdition open to us. It is no accident that this locale, equidistant from Mobile and Perdido Bay, was chosen.

The one between Waco and Temple on I-35 is ridiculous. I would imagine most are this way.

I've probably been to 10 Buccees from the ones the size of a large gas station to the mega sized ones. The one at Gulf Shores is the worst crowded by far. Part of the problem is access. Where in Terrell you can easily exit to get into the parking lot and easily get back on the interstate, the Gulf Shores one has a terrible set up.

Plus, that customer base lives up to every Alabama (and surrounding states) stereotype. It is insane.

The one outside Birmingham is fine and never seems to be near as crowded.

One outside of Houston was fascinating. Like an instant social experiment of some kind.

sure. I’ll agree, the one in Baytown is more hassle than it’s worth. Likely because it’s on I10 and the only place worth stopping between Houston and Lake Charles.

the rest of them in Texas aren’t nearly as crowded.

I've been to the Buccees in Baytown, Katy, & Wharton as they're always packed like Bourbon St. on Mardi Gras day - INSANITY. My best experience was the Robertsdale/Foley exit location at 2:30am with only 5 people in the store

Regardless, Ol' Buccee is printing money. BBQ brisket sandwich, 1/2 pound of jerky to snack on, 2 pieces of fudge, and a large fountain drink will cost you $35

Buc-ee's could open a competing Buc-ee's across the highway and they would both be packed. In fact I think everyone would leave one and stop at the other one just to see if it's different, and they'd need to get gas again because of all the traffic.

If travelers from surrounding states would go elsewhere, that Loxley Buccee's would go out of business inside a year.

Buc-ee’s is overrated, much like Chick fil A and Canes.

Part of the problem with that bama bucees is the weird entrance/exit situation. Once you’re in its a good bucees experience.

Most of the texas ones have multiple entry points
