I went for the first time on my way to Florida and I don’t know if it was because it was a Saturday and everybody was going to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach but the crowds of people there was insane. I felt like I was walking in Time Square and the lines to get gas was like when a hurricane is coming. It was real clean and nice but being I was making a ten hour drive, taking an hour to get in and out of there was too long for me. Is it the same way at the Texas locations?

Yes but not as crowded as the one in Foley. That one has to be the busiest one I’ve ever seen by 5x.

They're always crowded. It is a redneck mecca and is top notch people watching.

I think the one near gulf shores was built smaller than they should have built it. Others that we’ve been to did not feel as crowded.

It's a zoo and sometimes not worth the stop

No, they're usually not as crowded in Texas since there's more of them. I avoid the Alabama location at busy times, usually Fridays and Saturdays especially on holiday weekends. We're going to Florida Sunday and will probably stop if it's not super crowded. It's a good place to let our toddler get out her seat and walk around a bit so we don't mind killing time there.

If you're on a long road trip and just want to stop for gas and a restroom break, then Buc-ee's is not the place to stop. If you're willing to give up an hour and just fart around and look at shite, then it's the place to go. It's also great for stopping to take a shite in addition to wasting time. But like I said, if you were making a ten hour drive, you just easily make it 11 hours when you stop there. It takes about 30 minutes just to get out the damn parking lot.

I'm not wasting an hour plus at that Bucee's. I stop and gas up at the Love's one exit up and I'm in and out in 10 minutes flat.

If you're lucky a competitor has opened across the highway. Go there.

The one in bastrop, tx is never too crowded.

Not sure if Baytown and Katy are busier or not.

We just ate a big breakfast at the resort before the drive back to Baton Rouge and used the Florida rest area bathrooms since they are usually clean compared to what we have in Louisiana lol.

Try a 80 percent mix of cherry limeade and 20 percent ginger ale at the soft drink dispenser. I call it a Pareto soda. Best drink at Bucees.

Buccees in Terrell is at the distance where we start to need gas on the way to the camp. When we take the 4 wheelers or a trailer for any reason, I basically refuse to stop there. There is rarely a pump available for a trailer unless you go hella early in the morning or later in the evening.

I do enjoy getting some spicy beef jerky on the way to the camp when we do happen to stop.

I’ve gone to the one in Temple multiple times and the gas pumps are always packed. They even have 2 full rows of pumps but people still have to cruise up and down, looking for an opening. The problem is that people will get gas and then leave their car at the pump and go inside. Inside is even crazier but people seem to be enjoying themselves.

Everything is so ghetto in Louisiana, including the rest area. Any time I go to a different state and come back, it's so damn depressing to come back to this dump.

Only TX one I’ve been to is Baytown and it wasn’t nearly as crowded as the times I’ve stopped at the Foley one.

But the 2 or 3 times I’ve been to Foley were in the middle of summer during peak vacation season, so I guess its probably not as bad when its not full of LA people headed to Gulf Shores and 30-A
