Is Braxxton’s 100th day at school really a big deal?

I guess it’s cool that moms are taking an interest or whatever, but the social media feed has been filled with people making t-shirts celebrating their kids going to school for 100 days.
What the frick is this shite? Some subtle brag that your child isn’t a degenerate truant?
Dear fricking Facebook... FFS

I really have grown to hate Facebook. All these kid pictures have left their intended and rightful place: the refrigerator.

Give him his day baw. On the 101st day he travels to his own ball. Gotta make a man out of him somehow.

Bruh, before graduating high school I had 100th day of school thirteen times. I am a badass.

The schools do a dress thing for either 100th or 101st day.
And Jesus you fricked are miserable.

You’re a homo for having Facebook.

OP is a female.
It’s 2020, sir. They can use Facebook openly.

Exactly
I've seen several of them on my feed. And these aren't the type of people that would consider that some sort of generational accomplishment.
We're surrounded by complete morons and pieces of shite

This is another case of teachers coming up with something to bring attention to themselves.

Schools have been doing this for years, it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Much like why we have stupid "graduations" for each grade level

It’s not just moms/parents. Schools are openly celebrating it. We have to make our daughter a shirt with 100 things in it for her 100th day of school.

the sad part is this is socializing kids for social media narcissism. that's what it REALLY is, and the parents wouldn't have it any other way

I’m pretty sure this board is full of Jehovas Witnesses that are miserable and against any type of party/event

It was a class assignment when my daughter had to do it.
Kindergarten they had to make a poster. 1st grade was a tshirt.

I'm not sure when this started, it certainly didn't happen at my elementary school.
I, of course, will do this when my son is older and if he cares but this just seems like a waste of time and money. The other day daycare had dress like a snowman day. I sent him in normal clothes because he has nothing snowman like and of course the ONE white shirt he had was stained from earlier in the month when they had wear white day and served freaking toddlers pasta with marinara sauce. Good thinking guys.

Speaking of names, my wife met a woman who’s son’s name is Noah. But spelled it Knowa. No lie.

Anything that makes kids learn that going to school is a good thing is a net positive. If you have a problem with this, you're just a bitch
