I get pissed when people post pics when their kids make 1 month, 2 months, etc. No one gives a frick if your kid is 2 months old. That doesn't mean anything. It's just annoying.

I was thinking recently that I am so glad my kids are too old for this shite and it did not exist when they were younger because it seems like a pain in the arse.

This x1000 - I remember the day Facebook announced that they were dropping the .edu requirement for enrolling on FB and let anyone it. It has been a shitshow since. Obscure 5th cousins arguing with folks I went to college with about shite that doesn't matter. It's infuriating.

Is this really a thing? Jesus. Do they celebrate everything these days? I am seriously glad I am not going up in today's world. I mean, I like being an adult right now an all, but to be a kid today. It seems like they are isolated from everything, everything is always a big deal. Kids can't just be kids

The only bad part about it is that I have to spend money and time or my kid feels left out.

Arbitrary bullshite that costs me money because someone lies to my kids is where I draw my ire.

It’s not a fb movement — schools back in the mid 90s were promoting the hundredth day — teaching was big on base 10 back then and I guess it just continued to be a thing?

This is another case of teachers coming up with something to bring attention to themselves.

6 upvotes, 6 downvotes.
So we have 6 teachers in here who don’t like the truth.

I really have grown to hate Facebook

Wouldn't say I hate it but do not like nearly as much as back in 2008. And the reasons being discussed are why.

And crashed everyone's browser.

Myspace was a mess at the end. It's why the clean and simple OG Facebook killed it.

Ours didn’t have to make a shirt, they dressed like the elderly for the 100th day of school.

When both my kids were in elementary school, there was a 100th day of school thing. Like everything, some parents went completely overboard and flooded Facebook with pictures. Most parents didn't treat it as a big deal though. We certainly didn't.
