you'd probably have better luck getting the reaction you want by posting this on the poli board.

Of all the problems there is in life... This is like 1298th on the list. You can remove the holidays if you want. Showing something on a calendar isn't shoving something down your throats.

I don’t get the outrage. It doesn’t really affect your life to see the name of a holiday on your phone does it? Just because it’s pre-installed doesn’t mean you have to celebrate said holiday.
But, here’s the solution for you. Go into your calendar settings and uncheck the US holidays calendar. That will remove the holidays. Then go and search for a calendar online that has the holidays you want on it, and subscribe to that calendar. If one doesn’t exist, build your own calendar and import it into your phone. This really isn’t a problem that requires this much emotional energy from you.

You can turn off holidays in the calendar.
All or none. That's retarded.
I don't necessarily mind though, they are extra cranky during Ramadan, it's nice to have a heads up.

Nothing about your rant resembled a "simple question"?
Everyone is outraged all the time now.

LMAO you know how I know you didn't read the user agreement. You only own the hardware. All the software, like the part that puts say holidays on calendars, you license. You don't own that.

What does the OP and anyone mean when they say someone is "shoving (insert bad thing here) down my throat"?
Is your beef that people are actually forcing you to believe something using overwhelming force or is it simply that that this thing you dont like exists within your world?
The mere presence of a Muslim holiday on a calendar isnt exactly forcing you to believe as they do. It is just evidence that people you dont care for exist in your midst and enjoy the same rights and protections you do.
As I see it, you have two choices: either accept their presence and stay in your lane or vote for people who will take action to remove the rights and protections from the group you dont want here.

If you really want that, disable the holidays and enter the Christian holidays manually.

Think of it as intel when the snackbars might be acting a little different. Like when they skip lunch for Ramadan and act like it is some huge effort and act all grumpy about it.

Have you never seen Rosh Hashanah or Hannukah on your phone’s calendar?
