I don’t know if she’s been in contact with LEO. The Madam told her that AM could do whatever he wanted, and there was no charge, because he was in her private phone.
She also said that she could never watch The Masters and the PGA Championship again. She worked that a lot.

That prosecutor was blowing up and then the judge recessed.

I have a jury question. Are they sequestered? Scratch that. I just heard they go home. It is a small town does anyone really go home and stare at a wall or play solitaire or do they go on their laptop?

IMO he’s trying to piss him off so the jury can see the real AM.

Did you order the code red????

I thought about the same thing.

Is Waters trying to demonstrate that AM's display of remorse is bullshite? He remembers no details from these client meetings because he's cold and callous and not really sorry. His "awe shucks" personna is just for show.

They set him up as a serial liar today, a phony with a fake badge, and a ruthless rich lawyer who repeatedly stole from even paralyzed people.

Tomorrow is the final blow going through him lying about being at the murder scene within 5 minutes.

So I am new to this trial. My first day watching it after watching both the HBO Max and Netflix documentaries.

After seeing how powerful and connected the Murdaugh family is, is this prosecutor one of Murdaugh’s buddies? Is he throwing this case on purpose?

This cross is awful so far

Again this cross is painful. This is their chance to lock him in as a liar and a thief and possible murderer. And they are not doing a good job.

I’m sure this was answered 100 times in this thread but how much time is he facing for stealing all of this money from these people (assuming he’s found not guilty of murder)?

Just as OJ's defense was playing to the particular jury demographic, NOT North America, I think we need to remember that the jury is local, from one county away. The folks who may have heard of some of these settlements going to people who know people who they know. That would make it personal.

You can say "so sorry" only so many times before it rings hollow.

That works both ways. South Carolina might be the oddest state in America. Most people don't know because we're a relatively small and irrelevant state, but the natives are what we used to call fire-eaters. We fought the Indians. We fought the British crown. We fought the Yankees. We don't like outsiders. And as critical as Louisiana folks are of their own state, South Carolinians are equally as prideful. A large percentage of natives here absolutely despise outsiders. There's a reason Murdaugh's defense didn't ask for a change of venue and it has nothing to do with actual legal intricacies. They're banking on the nativism and orneriness of South Carolinians to hang that jury.

I haven't heard one person, other than his dad, say that he was a decent person. Every single person that has been interviewed, and knew him closely, describe him as a spoiled, entitled, brat that would throw his family and best friends to the wolves to save himself.

His aunt and several friends described Paul as a good person. I think he had a very bad problem with alcohol. Also these friends and relatives are likely remembering his boyhood. I don’t understand how a parent cannot just ignore but actively facilitate drinking from such an early age.

This may have been discussed but what is the deal with so many people pronouncing Alex as 'Alec'? Is it that hard to add the s sound to the end? I noticed it all throughout the Netflix show too

He killed his alleged best friend's girlfriend in a BUI and was laughing about it after the fact. He was a sociopath. He was a quadruple KA legacy at USC and most of the guys there hated him because he was such a douche, and we're talking about old money aristocrats from a Deep South state.

Local thing. They also pronounce Murdaugh like "Murdock".

The native white population of the South Carolina interior is almost uniformly Northern English or Scottish. Alex is pronounced as "Elic" by most natives.

These rural aristocrats despise the Charleston crowd. The Murdaugh's probably viewed Charleston as a Yankee infested cesspool.
