This just shows how weak the State's case is.

Hence, his defense team putting him on the stand.

When did his use of the badge ever come up before?

They are trying to paint him as entitled and get the jury to convict not based on the non-existant evidence.

It's borderline prosecutorial misconduct honestly.

Or it’s showing prior inconsistent statements so the jury can evaluate his overall credibility

His badge is relevant, as Dorito put much better than I:

Most of this line of questioning is to show he has no reason to distrust law enforcement because he goes around acting as law enforcement to gain an advantage and is friends with law enforcement.

They are not trying to paint him as entitled. AM has always acted and lived that way.

Only listening, but how is it coming across? Dude is obviously guilty, but prosecutors demeanor, at least as it sounds on radio, risks jury being sympathetic to Murdaugh

Just having this on in the background, but this is my take away from the prosecutor.

That's totally fair.

But this is the first time the badge has come up this entire trial or in any questioning that I've seen. So that's not the intent of that line of questioning.

It's possible, but I think if you didn't hear his defense led testimony leading up to cross-examination, it's more difficult to judge. He has painted himself as a victim all morning. Excuses. Drug addiction was the cause of everything, from an old football injury, etc.

This is what happens when you have a totally circumstantial case.

They’re building him up as a liar, a phony who carries around a badge, a scumbag who steals from younger children, paralyzed people, etc.

This is the beginning of destroying his character. They’re doing what they need to do.

I heard it and the prosecutor can catch him in lies and turnover his rosy red bullshite without coming across as a challenging arse. Prosecutor is argumentative.

Are they just running out the clock today by focusing on him being a POS? And tomorrow they'll hit him with murder questions?

Because this isn't doing much to prove he killed his son and wife.

Thats' how I see it as well. But there are some that believe his character is irrelevant to this case. I don't really understand that line of thinking, but agree to disagree.
