Metairie checking in- rain and windy. So far so good!

This is the guy who tried to blame FedEx for changing his route and triggering his arse burgers then was crying in the interrogation that he won’t get to see his son grow up.

Yes and he admitted that he didn't sexually assault the child because his meds had decreased his libido. This was caught on a recorded telephone call with a relative after he was arrested.
I've been following this case. I just had a hard cry about it. I can't imagine serving on that jury. They had to listen to the audio of him killing her. And her poor family.

He did the family a favor and plead guilty. The evidence they presented was for the penalty phase. Justice was served today for this precious little girl. She can now rest in peace and her family can begin to heal. Gonna say some prayers for her family, I bet they need them. :wah:
While I agree that all other clerk's offices in LA handle both civil and criminal cases the Civil Clerk's Office of Orleans Parish is horribly run, inefficient and full of absolutely idiots. I cannot speak of the Criminal Clerk of Court office but I can't imagine its any different.

This is a horrible idea. Orleans Parish handles WAY more cases than any other parish.

Jefferson Parish is well run- as you would expect.

St. Tammany is so freaking slow with updating their online docket. They are sometimes WEEKS behind getting stuff uploaded. Insane.

This is going to be a mess for everyone who works in the legal field in the greater New Orleans area.

I just wrote a letter for all three of my kids. I had open heart surgery and although the chance was small I could die I wanted to them to have something to remember me by since the oldest is only 6. I’m not gonna lie it ls the toughest thing I’ve ever done writing those letters. Now luckily they don’t have to read them.

My dad this as well- wrote a letter to me and my sibling, my mom and then one to the family. He survived the surgery and the letters were put away. He passed in 2023 and I asked my mom about the letters and she gave me my letter. I have read that thing so many times. Cry like a baby. It is the most wonderful gift. To read my father's letter to me and to the family in his handwriting was such a gift.
:usa: God Bless them and their families
I would assume that the place the swat is going to is under surveillance- but yes I get your point. The news reporting it takes out the element of surprise.
Fox news is reporting live that they saw one swat truck load up and then another one just 20 minutes ago

SWAT team just rolled out of the Sheriffs Dept....

Here we go...
This is officially creeping me out. I saw the video on Fox just now- he is in no hurry- pulls some weeds or flowers to cover the camera. I can't imagine Savannah and her family looking at those images/video and knowing that creep has their mother. Horrifying.
Horrible news. Very sad situation. I saw videos on instagram and it was not good. :usa:
Did I miss the memo as to why RDS is missing? Where is our guy?

Let me see if I can understand the logic here.

A woman who has lost her husband by way of murder in broad daylight doesn't have the ability to 1) manage her home/children 2) run a business 3) give interviews to support her dead husband's new book and discuss the vile things being said about her husband's murder all at the same time and should therefore stay in the kitchen and make a sandwich.

I mean, come on. I know most of y'all speak out of your a$$es just to be funny and I am usually entertained. This woman is showing me nothing but courage, strength and grace. I am impressed and I will support her- not tell her how she should behave nor how she should mourn her dead husband. Let the woman live her life on her terms. I think Charlie would be most proud of his wife right now. As he should.
Y'all keep forgetting he coached at Alabama for a couple of years....he's seen first rate facilities before.
That was awesome, thanks for sharing. Very sweet girl to take the time with that kid. That is kindness in the purest form.
Just as we all thought when we saw the video- he died instantly. I feel some comfort in that.
Can't believe we don't have at least at name... embarrassed for our law enforcement
