I don't handle drop-in visitors well. Calling ahead is just common courtesy, even if you're family, and I don't mean calling when you're on the way.

At public urinals, I keep my eyes focused on my own dick, rather than glance at the dick of the guy peeing next to me, just to avoid that awkward conversation that follows if you get caught being a pecker checker

I’m skeptical of people that talk a lot. Makes me think they’re working an angle.
I don’t say good morning to every single person I pass at work. Sometimes it gets back to me that someone was offended I never say good morning to them.

Absolutely hate the phone. I never answer unknown calls and do everything I can to avoid making calls as well. I have stopped doing business with companies because I couldn’t service my account online and had to call them.
I have a dedicated Google Voice number I give to most people and businesses that goes straight to voicemail. The number of people who have my real phone number is probably less than 50.

I don't know if I'd call lying a quirk.

I have some coworkers I would happily share a ride with. I have others that I avoid like the plague.

I've convinced most people I can't hear worth a shite.
My hearing is absolutely fine.
I just straight up ignore people hollering my name.
Yes I'm getting into old man territory.

Well, order what you want. Don’t worry about me.

If you really want someone to tell you to frick off, but in a less civil way, do that shite to me when I am trying to eat in peace.
Telling someone "relax Francis" is not an excuse for your rudeness.

What’s the difference between being asocial, introverted, or antisocial?
Asocial
Being asocial is considered a preference or tendency that may change over time. Asocial people may:
feel more comfortable alone
lack the desire to socialize
potentially feel anxiety or shyness in social situations
have difficulty enjoying or maintaining relationships
find it difficult to hold conversations
miss social cues
fear social judgment
judge themselves harshly
feel or be perceived as socially awkward
withdraw from society
have self-esteem issues
Introverted
Being introverted is considered a relatively fixed personality trait. Introverted people may:
need time alone to “recharge”
feel drained after excess time with others
have fewer relationships than extroverts but still maintain deep, meaningful relationships
work more effectively solo
be very creative when alone
dislike being the center of attention
spend a lot of time in their own mind
feel emotions deeply
occasionally zone out under stress
prefer writing to talking
avoid conflict with others
be more likely to be depressed
Being introverted is very common. According to a 2020 reviewTrusted Source, anywhere from 30–75% of the world population are introverts to some degree.
Antisocial
Being antisocial is considered a mental health condition. Antisocial people may:
lack compassion for others
prefer to spend time alone so they can focus on themselves
find it difficult to maintain relationships
view relationships in a transactional way
blatantly disregard societal norms or values
be aggressive, deceitful, reckless, or lack remorse
engage in violence
engage in substance misuse
take part in criminal behavior
act cruelly toward people or animals
desire to reject others
view themselves as superior to others

It irks me when I am watching a game with a friend who talks nonstop the whole time.
Posted on 7/15/25 at 8:05 am to LSUTANGERINE
I did not know this was so widespread.

I don't mind eating alone or going to the movies alone

i have a high social battery with a couple of friends, but if we're with acquaintances or people that i mildly like i will wander off.
my wife tells me that's rude, and i say it's rude to hold me captive and ask me to engage in conversations i'm not interested in for 2 hours.

Is "introvert" what you tell yourself you are instead of the self-awareness to realize that you are just an a-hole?
Posted on 7/15/25 at 11:37 am to LSUTANGERINE
I’m at a conference now. My goal is to not talk to a single person for the next 3 days.
