My pediatrician doesn’t accept Medicaid
He may not at the office you go to but somewhere I bet he does.
Simple reality is most kids in our state are on Medicaid.

It isn't about the children getting care or not. It's about people who do not know how to act in public or let their kids run rampant
Hate to break it to you.....but even parents with insurance let their kids run wild. Mom may be too busy reading stats on Jaxon's last travel ball game or trying to sign up little Ryndleigh for more dance lessons to worry about Brayden and Riley coloring on the walls of the waiting room.
And...this will blow your mind....some poor people actually know how to act in public and get their kids under control. As a poor kid myself...we would have never DARED run crazy...or we would face a spanking later on (either by belt or picking out our own switch from our fig tree in our backyard).
Shocking I know.

We would all save money if we did a Canadian type system. Plus Canadians live longer than us and spend less per capita on healthcare. By those two basic and universally accepted measures Canada has a better health care system than us.
Hurt your knee or shoulder? Enjoy waiting 6 months for an MRI.

You go to Chris Funes in BR? He used to be the same way, not sure if still is. We went to him once and the waiting room looked like the crowd you would expect to see at a dollar general so we switched pediatricians

That's because Chris (and his father long ago) genuinely cares for ALL children, not just those with insurance.
Working at OLOL peds floor years ago Chris and his dad were always on our floor visiting patients admitted to the unit(things were different then). I can't say stress enough how awesome both of them are when I worked there and how much they truly are passionate about pediatrics.
Chris is an amazing pediatrician btw. If I lived in BR and had kids...I would deal with the waiting room just so my kid could receive care from him.

over 70 million jobs in the US could be lost to automation by 2030
But someone is going to need to design, invent, patent, build, sell, and service those machines so I feel like those jobs lost stats are always a bit misleading. The machines are also creating other jobs.

People have been saying that for as long as I can remember.

That is about 1/3 of the population.
The only reason that its so low, is nearly 20% of the US population in on Medicare. A number that will continue to grow as the baby boomers age.

The only problem I have is parents bring their children and themselves to the emergency room for minor shite cause they have that card and if costs them nothing. However, this costs costs Medicaid which in turn costs taxpayers.

He likely has no idea whether the pediatrician accepts Medicare or not

Could one argue that it is against the laws of nature? Just kidding, that is a dark conversation that sets people off

Where on earth did you get that is what this thread is about?
I just re-read OP and I don’t see anything about this.
