It's actually cheaper to just tell the pharmacy that you don't have insurance than to pay the inflated prices plus co pay and deductible.

Doubt that. More likely, he's upset that so many people who can't (or would choose not to) afford a child's health insurance would have children.

employers need to get out of the healthcare boondoggle completely. Pass the money to the employee and let him shop on the market spending it on what he feels he needs
