I have a buddy who married a Vietnamese girl. Before they were married, he moved in with her and her brothers. We used to call their place the Hanoi Hilton. Now that they're married, she basically runs his life. I haven't seen the man in 4 years.

He used to talk about marrying an Asian girl straight off the boat, because they were so timid and would do anything for their man. Instead he marries a westernized Vietnamese who is the embodiment of the worst parts of her culture and American culture. She's a Tiger Mom and a Tiger Wife.

The self loathing women have is really big in our community. My sister has it too. It's common across the board for all asians americans.

Men not so much. We get the small jokes and it is extremely hard to find someone to date outside our community. With all the talk of racism, even african american men have it much easier.

For asian women though, they always question whether a white boyfriend really likes them or just the fact that they are asian and once a guy even makes a hint of a stereotype, the relationship is off. It is a trigger for asian women.

There is a real difference between someone who has a fetish for asians and someone who is attracted to them. Asian women want to be valued as a person, not objectified. For a guy with an asian fetish, the person does not matter just the ethnicity.

The same goes for chubby chasers etc. I'm sure Lindsey Graham would be upset if she knew you were just dating her because she is fat. All women want you to be into them for who they are not what they are.

The trouble for asian women is the stereotypes of docility, servitude, and traditional values. Men who aren't even attracted physically to asians come around looking for an asian girlfriend just because of the whole subservient stereotype. FOB asian women do still have that quality but for 1st and 2nd generation asian americans it is a whole different story as most women try hard to rebel against that stereotype.

It really is a serious issue for asian women in america. The thing that makes it worse for them is most of them really want a white boyfriend but when they get one continually question and test why the white boyfriend is with them. They are head cases because of this.

This girl from huff post is really cute but her psyche tells her she's a commodity and replaceable by the soy boy with any other asian.

She is not some SJW, just extremely insecure about her value and her relationship.

The chick just wants to be loved. She just wrote a weird article about it. Women want to feel loved and appreciated. This is the same as if a woman was questioning if her boyfriend was with her specifically cuz she has a big arse or something.

Also, to continue to play devil's advocate. I did know a guy in college whose mission was to bang a girl of every race and nationality. He went after black, white, hispanic, and asian, etc. He didnt stop there, he then wanted specifically all the Asian counries, and then all the European countries. All he was doing was straight smashing and passing. At the time I admired him. Now I point and laugh as he's got 2 stds and 4 babies

I wonder if she ever asked him about his culture? Just because someone is Caucasian doesn't mean they are devoid of culture. I bet she is just self-centered and obnoxious.
