re: Infant Children Hospitalized Due to Baby Formula Shortage

A lot of babies that were born premature would not survive without formula.

Nah, this is the new Democratic mindset when it comes to running this country and serving its people:

You are correct - and that’s why there is formula at the border for the illegals

Like allowing European made baby formula to even enter the country. The European manufacturers aren’t FDA approved so they can’t provide relief
We also loathe the emergency use authorization for children when there is no emergency for children. Hell, there’s no lore covid emergency period.

How foolish.
Not true at all.
The issue people have is mandates to receive the vaccine.

they didn't allow them to restart. They still haven't.
They reached an agreement yesterday to reopen the plant. Abbott said it will take about 2 weeks to get back up and operating, and about 4-6 weeks for shipments to start.

I would be having major anxiety. I'd probably enlist grandparents and friends to help find formula wherever they could.
I don't think this is getting enough attention.

Formula for disaster: Bill Gates' BIOMILQ pushing formula shortage
This is whose interest the FDA is beholden too not the babies.

This would not be happening if President Trump was in charge.
Weird thing to say when Trump's policies are partly why we're here
quote:
But rather than moving toward allowing greater trade, the U.S. has recently adopted policies making it more difficult to import infant formula. The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), the rewrite of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) championed by the Trump administration, set new limits on how much baby formula Canada could export—not just to the United States, but anywhere else in the world too.
As the CBC reported in 2018, that provision was likely a way for the Trump administration to snipe at China, after a Chinese-based company had invested $225 million in a formula manufacturing facility in Canada. The deal was also a win for American dairy farmers and the Trump administration, the CBC reported, after a political spat between the dairy special interests on both sides of the border.
But the new "export fees" included in the USMCA likely make it more costly and difficult for America to import extra supplies of formula from its northern neighbor. Chalk it up to another self-inflicted wound of the trade war with China.
Your orange emperor wouldn't be saving you from his own mistakes (and a company's poor hygiene practices that caused a plant shutdown).

You can bet your sky screaming arse restrictions of imports would be loosened.

I don't know why FedGov seems to be prioritizing superficial issues over this. It's the FDA's own red tape that's keeping Abbott's Michigan production facility closed.
This shortage is entirely caused by our bullshite federal government. They created a massive problem here, and even if they get the frick out of the way today, we are probably 2 months from it being resolved.

Formula is going to become a prescription item. Bet.

Totally the same thing. Literally no difference. /s

This is inaccurate. Abbott said once the FDA actually gives them approval it will take 8-10 weeks after the approval date before the product to start hitting the store shelves. We are another 2-3 months out with this bullshite.

Yea, that was the crazy part. No evidence of that bacteria in any of the samples tested; but can't restart operations until we can make it a national crisis so the Dems can step in and save the day

It's as if our federal government loathes our existence. You can dismiss this as racism, whatever-a-phobia, or general pessimism about our federal government. But they very clearly don't give a shite about Americans like me. That's been made damn clear over the past year.
