My buddy told me that if you alter your settings on Amazon to Canada there is a ton available. Also, saw a video that shows no shortages in Mexico. Not sure how real both of those things are but horrible if true

Oh, you mean the one they found no evidence of?
This is punitive.

Abbot should say frick the FDA and democrat red tape and order the plant to reopen.

where’s you getting the new “it’s actually Trump’s fault” talking points from? And Biden wrote a record of EO’s when entering office, why not one for this?

It doesn’t ruffle shite. Clarifying the difference between an opinion & fact shouldn’t be this complex.

My son had a severe dairy allergy and couldn’t drink breast milk because no matter how strict my wife was with her diet, the dairy and soy proteins still ended up in her breast milk. We had to switch him to dairy-free formula. That didn’t work. We tried and tried and nothing worked until our pediatrician gave us a sample of Puramino. That did the trick, except it was $45 a can. Those were small cans. We were spending close to $1,000 a MONTH on this shite. He would not have lived if we hadn’t had access to that formula. I genuinely feel for parents in a similar situation with this shortage today.

damn son.

i know that pain, to an extent. but nothing like what y’all went through. Has the kid kicked the dairy allergy?

This is a national emergency and it’s impossible to fathom why nothing is being done

The Cult is strong in this thread. It is amusing how libertarians and pro- pure Capitalists whine just as loud as anyone else when suddenly those constructs ain't working for them due to the vagaries of life. It is like you just expect everything to work out for you because you "have done everything right", and poor fortune only lands on "bad" people who are "lazy" and don't put in the "work"... It is doubly amusing that the libtertarians are calling for an Authoritarian figure to make every right.

Not sure what thread you are reading. Must not be this one.

Seems like everyone expects the government to not punitively keep a baby formula factory from operating for an extended period of time. That adheres to libertarian principles pretty well.

Not that it matters. Not everyone is a libertarian.

They found examples of the same rare bacteria that infected the children in the plant that was shut down. The sick children all had formula sourced back to this one plant, where the bacteria that sickened them was found.

Reuters - as of yesterday

Abbott says there is no evidence to link its formulas to these illnesses. The FDA and the CDC have not disclosed any information that connects the illnesses and the plant. FDA officials said that the investigation was impeded by having only two of the four sickened babies' clinical samples.

The CDC analyzed clinical samples from two of the infants and did not find a genetic match to the environmental strains found at the plant. It also said the bacteria from the patient samples were not closely related to one another.

The FDA and Abbott tested environmental and product samples at the plant. They found five environmental samples containing Cronobacter sakazakii. The product samples tested negative.

Yet they kept the facility shut down for an extended period while infants are being hospitalized because this wasn't available to them.

The most important thing to remember when searching for formula is to get your covid vaccine

And don't blame your shitty government entity for keeping an entire factory shut down for months despite not finding a single fricking example of an infected product.

All I know is the press would be trying to bust down Trump's door if this was happening under his watch. He'd be forced to do something. Biden though has the media as his little lap dog and will do nothing. That's the difference.

Yep, he grew out of it by the time he was 3/4.
