Interesting facts.

Voyager 1 launched on Sept. 5th 1977

on Sept. 5th 2026, Voyager 1 will have traveled 0.0027 light years distance from Earth.

Some time on November 2026 Voyager 1 will reach 1 light days distance from Earth .

Roughly around the year 19,026 Voyager 1 will reach 1 light years distance from Earth. (incidentally, the nearest neighbor outside our solar system in Proxima Centauri, a small red dwarf approx. 4.25 light-years away)

It's very likely that all of Voyager 1's radio isotopes used for power will have depleted by that time and it will only be shell of inactive metal traveling through intergalactic space. There is so much empty space outside of our galaxy that there is virtually zero chance of Voyager colliding with anything or even passing by anything closed enough to be effected by gravity od anything it might encounter.

In fact, it is so empty that even molecules are so far apart that there will be no meaning for erosion or deterioration of the metal surface of Voyager for billions of years if not trillions.

Space is 99.99999999% nothing.

Empty, void of even the smallest molecules.

Yet, quantum entanglement!

Amazing.

yup. Somehow, all points of space and time are connected despite the distances. Fascinating.

I guess we better work on landing on Mars versus the next closest star that has a planet.

That’s a lot of travel just to find out if a plane is livable.

I was in the 3rd grade when I saw the Challenger explode in January of 86. I, like most kids my age at the time, wanted to become an astronaut.

40 years later, we still have not had a single person orbit into "outer space" as advertised in those days. It blows my mind people still believe in the NASA scam.

Space isn't real cause it's all an electronic projection on the ceiling of Earth, sheeple

I went down ai rabbit hole and we are close to faster than light travel in the next 150 years. Pretty crazy.

I'll have to see it to believe it. Folding space or using gravity to create apparent speeds greater than C ok maybe, but actually exceeding C I doubt that for now.

Funny thing is the more scientists study space the more they realize all the math and physics they they have been relying on is likely crap. but they can't admit it so they're all freaking out.

They've discovered complex spiral galaxies that formed roughly 300 million years after the "big bang" and "physics" says it's impossible because those take billions of years to form.

Can't figure out what keeps galaxies from ripping themselves apart because of the mind blowing speeds that they are spinning, so they call it "Dark Matter". Don't know what it is or can't see or prove it but it's got to be there because that's the only way the physics hold up.

Can't figure out why the universe is expanding at an ever increasing speed , but it is. That's "Dark Energy" another unknow, unprovable substance that has to be there to make the math work.

Actual physics, by actual physicists would disagree with you.....

why is that uncomfortable for you? Dark matter and dark energy are placeholders until we figure out, if we ever do, the mechanics of the universe. What we already know is a lot but it is a very small fraction of what is there to be discovered. That’s what science is

We can observe that the laws of physics that are proven here on earth clearly apply everywhere else we look. That implies that the rest of orbital mechanics is also consistent, we just need more information
