I'd be pretty disappointed in him but that's pretty much my default setting cause he's a shitty son (not the youngest, he's actually ok). So I guess it would just be another day.

If you want your kid to have a healthy sexual relationship with his future wife.....you wouldn't wish this on him. You need to teach him to be a one woman man.....hopefully he can find a girl that was taught the same.....

Having been a 15 year old boy. This isnt always the case. It is much easier these days for one to lose the demarcation line between ages. There are times the older teens in my youth group almost feel like peers in some ways. It is easier for me to keep the line intact because I am not around them every day. For a younger single teacher, who is around these boys all day, that line probably begins to blur. Especially ones who were ugly ducklings in highschool, but blossomed later. They get the attention now of the boys they wanted not that many years ago.

Then with older teachers it is kind of a mid life crisis thing. They are bored, horny, and occasionally borderline attractive. They want to feel young and excited again.

There are many factors. I dont fall for the boys are always victims thing. Nor do I fall for the girls are always victims thing. Most are, but i have known 16 & 17 yr old girls who adored and only wanted older men. Girl who used to work for me at a theater was in highschool. Very attractive, hipster style, yadda yadda, but her perfect man was Bruce Willis. Loved guys over 40. It was crazy.

Since this is a moral dilemma and most of our societal morals are based on religious doctrine, where does it say that at the age of 18 people magically become adults who are capable of making decisions regarding procreation?

Law of the land. Fuss about it all you want, it's what's been decided. Honestly, I know some 20+ year olds I feel need to be protected from themselves.
