i have two little boys about the same age as the op and have thought about this.

one of my friends in high school was banging a teacher. in the end it didn't mess him up at all and it wouldn't have messed me up either. I was sexually active all through high school so its not like it would have been anything new.

now with my sons, i think my reaction would depend on their personality. If he is fragile and can't handle it I would maybe be a little upset but I would prolly kinda be glad because it would help him grow up. If my sons are like my friends and I were in HS I would have no problem with it, except in front of their mother. Would prolly sit him down in the backyard and drink a beer with him.

Do you not understand the difference between physical and mental development? Of course they knew what was going on, but a 15 year old does not have the mental capacity or development to understand the potential long term effects of a teacher manipulating them. People posting e-high fives are doing it from their fully developed and mature brain, not from their 15 year old selves.

People here post from the perspective of an adult, but the reality is that they don't accurately remember their 15 year old mentality, no matter how much they insist they do. Your brain undergoes massive change as you mature.

Excellent point. A lot of people in here are looking at this from a purely physical aspect while ignoring the mental aspect. The dirty secret of kids and sex is that very often it physically feels good to the kid. Depending on the age of the kid, they may not even know what they're being made to do, or having done to them by an adult is even wrong. But this does not mean what's happening to the kid is right or that they're not being hurt by what is happening. Kids are not mentally ready for sex and exposing them to it at an early age messes their sexual development and can affect them the rest of their life. It puts a lot of things on a kid like guilt and shame that can lead to depression and suicide. It can pervert their view of sex to where they go through life without being able to have a steady and healthy sexual relationship with anyone. It can even turn them into sexual predators themselves. Any adult who does this to a kid, even a 15 year old, is no better than an animal and deserves to be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

i see the nerdy pussy kids from high school have come out the wood work to defend the mental immaturity of hs boys.

get the frick out of here with this victim shite. At that age I was more than capable of making decisions to bang a girl or not.

when I was 16 I was with a 24 year old, wasn't that big of a deal. not like y'all are making it out to be.

Ask for an "off campus" parent-teacher conference.

Yeah. Kids and teenagers are fully capable of understanding and admitting they might not know everything.

Yet. If we were take a poll, how many guys and gals on this site lost their virginity to kids their own age before they were 15? Should we outlaw all minor sex?

Wait, it does? Didn't know that.

Wouldn't make the paper because my wife nor I would rat out the teacher to the school or the law. Not for the teacher's sake, but for my family.
I would definitely have a conversation with the teacher and my son about the consequences.

And then she does it to another kid, the school/cops/media find out, and they dig and find out she did it with your kid too and you didn't say anything.

You'd open yourself to lawsuits.

I graduated 20+ years ago from high school and knew 3 guys around my age who were sleeping with teachers. They are currently great family guys these days and upstanding members of society. Not mentally scarred or disturbed in any way.
Parents these days just baby their kids too much and think that sex at 15 is going to ruin their lives.
If it were a 15 year old girl they were sleeping with, would that change your perception?

The OT will say...buy the kid a beer and take him to a nudie bar.

I would say I would bust his teacher's arse then bust his arse.

I'm curious as to what follows these kids down the road with getting in schools or jobs especially with how easy it is to look people up anymore?
I know of one 16 year old who ended up in rehab after the 23 year old woman he was screwing got him hooked on meth and dealing for her. He ended up getting arrested and expelled from school for the drug dealing and supplying alcohol, purchased by the 23 year old, to his schoolmates.

He, and his family, are trying to put their lives back in order. Their relationships with all of their neighbors, and the families of his childhood friends, were ruined. They are not welcome in the social circles they belonged to prior to the son's cavorting with the 23 year old woman.

What if you son was 16, 17 or even 18 and still in high school. The problem I have with it all is that the age of consent is 16 (at least here in MS where I live), but yet it's still crime for a teacher to have sex with a person the law deems legally able to consent. I know the law is the law, but it is contradictory. If my child is 14-15 yea I have a problem with it, but at 16 17 and damn sure 18, what can you say? The teacher is probably one of a few if not many.

In civil law there is no requirement for action. You could literally watch someone drown and do nothing and you would not be liable. Even in criminal law there are only certain few instances where action is mandated.
