So you have no problem with people coughing in coughing without covering their mouth?

Oh I agree, that guy was a dick for coughing without covering his mouth.

But that's not the subject here. The subject is wearing a mask. So if you're wearing a mask, why are you concerned with getting the virus? Why are you concerned if other people chose not to wear a mask?

Yeah, no.

If everyone is wearing properly fitting N95 respirator masks, sure. But those dinky cloth masks? Not a chance.

There needs to be a mandated process to wear a mask if you are going to mandate we wear them.

They have guidelines and information on that on the WHO website and the CDC websiteX

I agree There is no point to wear a mask wrong but the answer isn’t don’t wear a mask, it’s learn how to wear a mask right.

Wut

All I've heard the last month is the BLM protests did not cause a spike in infections because "most" of them wore masks. They are so sure this is the case that many cities and states have declined to even bring up protest attendance in contact tracing efforts.

You must not be paying attention.

Just because I think Those people are being assholes doesn’t mean I want Them to get sick and continue to get other sick.

Then you guys need to focus on that and not the people who don't wear them. You'll never get us on board with the mask craze with all these stupid assholes wearing dirty arse masks below their noses and around their necks.

But that's there choice, and it doesn't affect you because you and those you care about (i'm assuming) are all wearing masks.

Why worry about what other people do?

I am Not going to pretend that the authorities and media have turned a blind eye to all that shite, and are making excuses for them.

They are definitely not the end all be all and this needs to be thoroughly communicated. A 60 year old with type 2 diabetes sees all the rigmarole promoting cloth masks, so they throw a poor fitting, cloth mask on and walk across the street to an indoor birthday party. People need to know just how effective/ineffective masks are.

1. Like I said I care About other people.

2. Clearly it’s affecting everyone. Millions are out of work, various aspect of our society are shut down. People are actually dying.

Then they touch it with their hands. Wear it for hours without disposing or disinfecting it. Wear it below their nose and around their neck. It is comical.

And you think wearing a cloth mask with 15 different points on your face that aerosols can get in is actually doing anything.

Wear your mask if you want, just dont call people assholes because they realize it's pointless.

Covid has absolutely zero to do with this.

I would call someone who doesn’t try at all because it takes a minimal amount of effort to be effective an a-hole.

Not just authorities. Go on any social media and simply state "the protests caused a spike in infections" and take note of how many people angrily reply "not true they wore masks!" or something to that effect.

I'd say the majority of people that shame others for not wearing one think it's the single necessary act to preventing the spread. Not pointing fingers in here of course.

Damn. I could have sworn my board-certified nephrologist who regularly monitors my health told me I should wear a mask when shopping since I’m on immunosuppressants. However, your post is logically and scientifically irrefutable. I’m calling that charlatan right now and demanding to know why he hasn’t insisted I wear a mask in my home, where I live alone, at all times. I can’t wait to see his face when I present your post. He certainly has a lot of explaining to do!

Well dumbass, you are in the small segment of the population that truly needs to wear a mask. In fact, if you really had a clue before stumbling up your moral high ground, you'd wear a mask, COVID-19 or not, because even a bad flu strain could be deadly.

Again, can you defend that action?

It’s a dick move.

If you don’t think so it’s probably because you’re a dick.

Well that’s factually incorrect

Which translates to thousands of people.
