Because they’re morons like you?

Your premise hinges on the fact we don't want the virus to spread through the healthy population.

Your premise is wrong.

The premise that he doesn’t want people getting sick is wrong?

quote:

No, I just don't believe in pointless gestures to assuage your feelings. a-hole.

Again, not pointless you’re just a moron.

No, he just knows pre-school hygiene and doesn’t have to. Disgusting people like you should always wear a mask, even after a cure is found

I'm not at risk. If they're at risk, they should wear a mask. But that's their decision.

If you're at risk of getting sick, wear a mask.

It is most certainly pointless for me to wear a mask if I'm not at risk of complications from Covid. If you're at risk from complications from Covid, wear a mask.

Because I've already been exposed over two months ago and had zero symptoms. And even if I hadn't been exposed I'm in good health, under the age of sixty, with zero comorbidities so this virus means nothing to me.

I’m 30, have no comorbidities and I recognize That I have little to no chance of dying from the virus.

But the person I give It if I get it to while not wearing a mask and walking around like an a-hole may not older or have comorbidities or may just be unluckyZ

Not care if about others makes you an a-hole.

I am borderline hypochondriac over here that constantly washes my hands and cleans my house. This was all pre-Covid as well.

I wear a mask because it is a gesture of good faith to others and helps slow the spread.

You guys sure are triggered by being asked to wear a mask. It is really amazing to witness.

everyone is at risk of getting sick, everyone should wear a mask.

Try and limit the spread of the disease so it makes it easier for people who are at risk to avoid infected people.

The guidance is for everyone to wear a mask. Every single person should wear a mask.

If masks are effective at stopping the virus, and if you're at risk and wearing a mask, why should I be wearing a mask?

This is not but gibberish to make you feel better.

So what do you think the end result of all this is? You think if everyone wears a mask long enough this virus will just go "poof"? That's not how viruses, especially coronavirus, works.

quote:

We get it chief. You are just an a-hole whose feelings are hurt because not everyone is wearing a mask in public to make you feel safe. Amazin.

That's great and all BUT you could be spreading it to others and not know it.

How fricking difficult is to care about your fellow man?

You are being asked to do something that is a minor inconvenience at best but could help others?

Why are so many of you fricks do damn selfish? The lack of empathy is shocking.

Sorry I don’t believe any of that. Can’t be true, if true, you’d know you don’t need a mask

quote:

I wear a mask because it is a gesture of good faith to others and helps slow the spread.

It’s only something nasty people or people who have symptoms but have no other choice to go into public should do

You’re reading too much in to simple message board posts. I’m not triggered, I just think y’all are gross

Why is that person not wearing a mask?

Not care if about others makes you an a-hole.

Me expecting people to exercise personal responsibility for their particular situation is not being an a-hole, despite what you feel. Your feelings of safety are not more important than my decision to not wear a mask.

You are arguing in bad faith. This is incredible.

You refuse to acknowledge what Sammy and I have repeatedly said. You are beyond help and part of the problem.

quote:

You think if everyone wears a mask long enough this virus will just go "poof"?

Quit strawmanning. Noone has made the claim that masks are perfect.

That's not how viruses, especially coronavirus, works.

When it coming to virology and medicine you are not on any lists of who I'd be looking for advice from.

Putting your wants before everyone else even if it is just their feeling does make you a-hole.

And in this case it not just feeling but safety as well.

You are so dumb that you are lucky that breathing is involuntary.

The lack of empathy on this board is simply amazing.

You think this virus is not going to spread no matter what we do?

I'll say it one more time: if you are at risk with this virus, you should wear a mask.

quote:

How fricking difficult is to care about your fellow man?

I do care about my fellow man. That's why I advocate that if they are at risk, they should wear a mask and keep public interaction to minimum. But keep up with the straw man and ad hominems if it makes you feel better.

quote:

You are being asked to do something that is a minor inconvenience at best but could help others?

It's not going to help others, only make them have a fals sense of security. I don't do things for other people's feelings.

quote:

Why are so many of you fricks do damn selfish?

I'd ask the same of you, forcing your opinion that I should be wearing a mask on me. Why is your opinion more important than mine?

quote:

The lack of empathy is shocking.

I don't have much empathy for virtue signaling feel good measures that do jack shite against a virus with less than a 0.03% death rate, and falling.

I get that coronavirus is deadlier than the flu. But the flu still kills tens of thousands of folks a year. My daughter’s HS friend died from the flu and I had a lady who I went to paramedic school with years back die from the flu, 40 years old. My question is this, were you wearing a mask to protect all these people prior to Coronavirus or did you start doing it recently when it became popular? Did you care about your fellow man a few months ago?

Again, stop arguing in bad faith dude. That's not how it works. Masks protect others from you.

Disregarding anything else you say because you cannot seem to acknowledge this simple concept.

No, I am arguing using logic and reason, not feelings. I'm sorry that I don't agree with your feelings.

You haven't said anything but your feelings and opinions.

What do masks being perfect or not having to do with the fact this virus will spread despite what measures we put in place? The goal was to slow the spread...we did that. Wearing masks now if you're not at risk is pointless and nothing but a feel good measure.
