if people were the size of dinosaurs, would we still be scared of them?

Square cube law has entered the chat.
Yes. We would. The ants would be remarkably weak and unstable at such a large size.

Scaling up an insect:
If you were to hypothetically scale up an ant to the size of a dog, its muscles wouldn't be strong enough to support its significantly increased body mass, making it much weaker proportionally.
Examples of the square-cube law in insects:
Ants carrying heavy objects:
Because of their small size, ants can carry objects many times their own weight due to the relative strength of their muscles compared to their body mass.
Fleas jumping high:
Fleas can jump incredibly far relative to their size due to the powerful leg muscles that are proportionally large compared to their body weight.

Ants can carry up to 50 times their body weight.
Most humans cannot squat their body weight.
Humans would need weapons, superior technology and intelligence to defeat them but a human sized ant army led by humans could be an issue.

I remember reading something about ants having an exoskeleton and their design only works if small.
Not enough oxygen to sustain them either

I’m glad this topic is being discussed. This is a threat we’ll soon have to face. There are presently plans for a school for ants in California.

Yes. They would wreck shop. Proverbs 6

For every world average 140 lb person there is, there are 22,000 lbs of ants. Ants outweigh humans by 160x. If they could somehow plan it, I think they could take us on.
In quantity, they outnumber humans 2.5 million to 1, in weight it is 160 to 1.

I often wondered that? What if every insect outside was the size of a medium sized dog? We would all be fricked.

I wonder what Ants, Gravy, and Rice would taste like

I specifically remember my 7th grade teacher in 1973 telling us if ants were the size of cats, they would rule the world

Exactly. If ants were the size of humans their exoskeleton would weigh so much they couldn't move.
On the other hand if humans were shrunk to the size of ants we'd be pretty fricked.

We wouldn’t stand a chance

Because of the Earth's gravity, now if the planet that has life only has 1/8th of the Earth's gravity, there are going to be some really big insects on that planet.
