If it was only my gf at home, my dog would. Her dog would run and hide. If I was home, my dog would just bark and wait for me to do something. Her dog would piss herself because of the commotion

Got a BMC/Vizsla/Shepard mutt. In that scenario he would go ballistic. Found that out once. Wife and I tested him like that and he lit into me and separated me from her. Forgot about it and was wrestling with the kids the other day and I guess he wasn’t having any of it and he was on me in a split second. Never bites hard but he will bite and back you off.

They wouldn’t have the chance.... shooter would be red and free on the contact upon entry

My dog would sell me out for a dog biscuit or treat.
Cats one would be under the bed hiding.
The other one selling me out for treats.
Myself aim for the lower abdomen and fire once I see it is not one of my family members.

She won’t even bark at humans, but she bit the hell out of the neighbor’s dog that stuck its head under the fence.

My pit might lick them to death. She would be useless as a guard dog, she doesn't fit the stereotype. Too spoiled and has been around kids and other animals for too long to be aggressive.

My dog tried to attack me the other day when I came in. There was a moving truck next door making all kinds of noise. We come home and she's barking like crazy. I guess she thought I was breaking in, but she charged right at me.

I'd like to hear more about this. How did you find yourself in this situation? Not doubting you, just want some details, sounds like a hell of a story.

Had a German Shepherd, she definitely would have. She knocked the plumber down once and started dragging him by the shirt. RIP Sarah.
I had a couple chocolate labs and they wouldn't have done anything
Someone in my neighborhood has German Shepherd/lab mix puppies she's looking for homes for. I kinda want one. That'd be an interesting mix.

My dogs fricked up my buddy twice when his arse thought it was acceptable to walk in without knocking. Just a quick bite before my dog snapped to who it was.

She would bark, but she's not big enough to attack.

She won't but luckily she always let's me know when something isn't right.
As long as she keeps her end I'll be fine.

It's why everyone needs a pitbull

Sounds like the Aussie we had, would not leave a copperhead alone! Have a Chow mix who barks furiously at the door when we come home hope he would do that with a stranger. The lab mix is only interested in eat, play, sleep, kill little animals

Just breaking in? Probably not. If someone tried attacking us physically? That dumb sob of a dog would go for their throat.

Our Yorkie would bark and lick them to death.

I have a bloodhound. I’m lucky if he wakes up when someone arrives.
