My female lab goes insane if anyone she doesn’t know comes near the house.

He would bark until they broke in. Once they broke in, he would beg for pets. He’s a whore for getting petted.

I doubt if either one of them would. Bailey (my bulldog) is so lazy she might wander over to get petted, and Pork Chop (my Dobie) would probably want to play LOL.

Thankfully Pork Chop is 96 lbs, so at least that is a deterrent.

My dog would sneak up behind them and bite them on the ankles. It might break the skin and cause a nasty infection!

My next door neighbor's dog would bark enough to wake us all up as soon as they exited their car. That little yapper is better than our security system.

"Across the street" neighbors have a Yellow Lab whose "house" is stationed to cover a pretty wide view of the area. He doesn't miss a thing.

nope. She’d go hide behind the sofa and then try to play with him.

My dogs don't even know how to bite.

But my dobie is a good watchdog, he doesn't miss much. Anything out of the ordinary and he will bark. And then my bulldog will get up and bark too, even though she has no idea what she is barking at LOL.

My Aussie Shepherd would go wild and tear up some arse. She goes wild dog mode when undesirables are around.

My Australian does the same thing. We have to put him up if people are coming over. He's a weird dog, but I have no doubts that if someone came in my house, he would die trying to get them out.

If we have company, my Aussie goes into "I'm okay, but I have my eye on you" mode with the guests.

I had a door to the outside with stained glass. One day, I put my sweatshirt over my head and did the Frankenstein walk to "test" the dog. She bashed against the glass and broke it in spots. So, due to my being a smart guy to my dog, I have Lexan in place of the glass.

My Boston Terrier would do these ferocious things in this very order:

1. Bark like crazy with a Mohawk down her back

2. Jump all over and Lick the intruder’s face incessantly

3. Hump his leg

4. Piss on his shoes

My stepdog Aussie is intimidating as hell when she's behind the door and she doesn't think you deserve entrance. Like chinhoyang's, she's fast, even in her senior years, and could really do some damage.

My Sheltie, on the other hand, might not even bother to get up from wherever he was sleeping.

That's a good way to get attacked at our house too. My wife did something similar one night and got bit a couple of times.

Again, the dog is a little weird, but I sleep well knowing that he'd literally die protecting my family from whatever he perceived as a threat.

I used to think my lab would just welcome an intruder and show them around. A couple of years ago a roofer had left a tool in the backyard and thought he would just grab it and go. Dog started barking when he pulled up and my infant son was napping so I put dog out. Heard yelling from the back yard to find the roofer up a tree with my dog trying to climb right behind him.

My Pyrenees/Dane mix is on a whole different level. If I have my friends feed her while we are gone they will feed them over the fence or have my octogenarian neighbor go in the back yard with them to keep from getting eaten for the first couple of days. She is a bit overprotective unless she knows you very well.

Our guy would bark like a monster guard dog (80 lbs) and sound like a big scary animal as the burglar was making noise breaking in.

Then when the burglar actually got inside he'd roll over and ask for belly rubs.

Great Danes.

They are "Mantle-Merles". Rhaegal's markings are incomplete.
