Not a recognized show-breed. There is a danger in a mix, but I think it was Merlequins.

We had one, Rhaene, and she was neurotic af.

Back in the early 80's when I lived in Cocoa Beach Florida my next door neighbor had a Chow Chow. Was solid black with a purple tongue. Nice dog I used to grill out and take the leftover rib bones over there and let the dog chew on them. Someone broke into their house during the day and nobody was home. Neighbor gets home and there is blood all over the place. Said it looked like a murder scene. That Chow destroyed the intruder. Police later found the perp at the hospital where he had to get something like 300 stitches and a few staples.

Mine would.

Hell, she doesn't even like the wife in the bed.

She gets into this slobber snarl that sounds much bigger than she is with people she gets a bad vibe from has no problem pouncing, snapping, and getting between me and them if she doesn't like it.

Ours can hear an ant walk across the back yard . Ears up , scan mode , acknowledge , bark until threat is gone . Then it takes a good 10 mins to wind down to a low ruff , ruff . Corgis don’t play that crap

this video isn't about if dogs attack or not. It's about nasty arse white people letting their dogs kiss them in the mouth.

They should try that with my Rottweilers. That test would have a much different outcome.

Jolly would lick him to death and Beignet would bark so much the intruder would leave to avoid a headache. So, yes, they would attack.

No. But my son’s lab mix would go apeshit barking & jumping all over them trying to lick them in the face to the point they’d give up and leave.

I had a neighbor with the same type of Chow growing up, and it was the meanest dog I've ever been around. It bit me and several other kids in the neighborhood, but the trashy arse owners wouldn't believe it until the dog ripped up his daughter's leg. I've hated that breed ever since

My dog would bark and growl like hell until they got inside the house. Then she'd either run or try to get them to pet her.

The other day she was laying in our living room and the dishwasher door fell open. It wasn't even very loud, just an unexpected sound in a quiet room, she jumped up and ran and hid in a bedroom.

I have heard they can be very protective and quite mean. Not trying to say this dog couldn’t do that stuff but it was an indoor dog and the owners were professional good people. I would bring it left over chicken bones, rib bones, steak etc and it would sit there and chew it up while I would shoot the shite with the owners and have a few drinks.

People underestimate what any dog will do if it feels threatened or if it’s owners are being threatened.
