“Iconic” and “Waffle House” don’t go together unless the word “brawl” is included.

I hope they keep the 60s/70s look on the inside! (If it’s still like that; I haven’t been in many years).

I once was eating @ that location @ 230am and watched someone get thrown thru the plate glass window in front.

Calvin’s is by far the best, but Chicken Salad Chick is actually pretty good

I felt that way when they moved from Chimes Street out of their original location. Overall I like the new one much better, though the longer bar gave more seats to watch the cooking.

What I can't get over is how they totally lost the late night bar crowd coming in after a night out. That place would be packed with a line out the door. They had a crowd from midnight until past 3 AM.

I believe this is where Derrius Guice's father was shot and killed when Derrius was a young boy.

In the 80's we would get drunk in the bars on Bennington them go to the College location at 2am and eat cheese and eggs breakfast and harass the waitress good naturedly, but always tipped her well. When she would see us coming through he big front window she would roll her eyes...and try to hide.
One day she was gone.
We were so bummed....
Until we changed locations to Seigen and rolled up only to see her standing there behind that counter freaking out because we found her.
Good times in the 80's

While really good, if I'm around LSU I'm hitting up Louie's and Frank's up on Airline does not suck either.

Been to dive bars all over. That was the best dive bar I’ve ever been to. Still miss it today.

This.... Louies was the end of ever epic night during my time at LSU, saw so many fights broken up by that 400 lb black cook... so many times a plate of cajun hashbrowns saved my life..... we threw a ton of house parties and making it on enough to be part of the 3 am Louies run meant something.

Now it's a kinda good breakfast place.

Place was dirty and dark, yet I got hammered drunk and drank some of the most expensive liquor I've ever had in there.
