Iconic Waffle House set to expand in Baton Rouge

Waffle House is the GOAT chain breakfast spot IMO. This is the one on College Dr that doesn’t look like most other Waffle Houses, and shares a wall with Port Royale.
Perhaps more importantly - they also submitted plans to the city to build a new one right near LSU across from the new Rouses on Lee Drive.
So LSU students will be able to get either Chick Fil A, Raising Cane’s, Whatsburger, or Waffle House pretty much in the same neighborhood. Not healthy, just awesome.

The chain submitted a building permit earlier this week that calls for turning a 583-square foot section of the adjoining bar into a new storefront for takeout pickups. I'd be 400lbs if living over there now.

The private security detail at that place pays off duty cops around $50 an hour.

I once rode in the back of a random persons truck no shirt no shoes and still got service in that Waffle House when I was in college at about 4:30 in the morning. If there’s one thing about Waffle House, it always delivers

Imagine a place that the Denham Springs crowd thinks is cool, and you'd have Port Royale. So you can imagine how that Waffle House was after 11PM.

I recently learned what bougie means. I’ll try to use it verbally in a sentence today.

I misread that and thought they were putting it by mathernes! That would be a game day nightmare, but I’d love to see it.

Waffle House only shuts down if it’s a direct hit from a major, major hurricane. And even then, only a couple of hours before impact.
