Iberville Parish is producing NFL players at roughly 48 times the national rate

That's 0.000522%, or approximately:
1 NFL roster spot for every 192,000 Americans.
Louisiana itself produces NFL players at a much higher rate than America generally, 1 NFL player per 72,777 Louisiana residents.
Iberville currently has approximately 1 NFL player for every 4,225 residents.
Even against Louisiana's unusually high baseline, Iberville's 1 per 4,225 would be about 17× the Louisiana rate.
Just thought it was an interesting statistical anomaly.

Before the advent of agricultural machines, sugar cane work was backbreaking and the people that worked fields there had to be strong. Unlike cotton farming in northern Louisiana, which any woman or child could do.
