This state is a shite show. If I didn’t have family here I’d move to Vermont.

Every time a bank develops in Louisiana, it undergoes a merger with, or is acquired by, a larger out of state bank. The HQ and management move. Our largest city is no longer a regional business center, but only a tourist draw.

And nobody seems to have even the tiniest bit of desire to make it otherwise.

There will be more of these so-called "mergers" of La. based-banks in the future.

I can see HomeBank, Gulf Coast Bank, and First Bank & Trust being easy targets for some of the national banks.
