Let’s try not to make it about you and your feelings, ok?

No, we didn’t. You just got your feelings hurt.

Relax, man.

We are getting some winds ramping up now. Gusting up pretty good.
Yeah, I was just sitting on my front porch watching this unfold. Reminds me of Irma in 2017. Went to Baton Rouge last year to help my mom through Ida. This one is going to be a doozy.

Lost power about 15 minutes ago. Eerie dead quiet inside, the sounds of hell outside. Fully expected to lose power but we’re surprised it happened this early. Sarasota/Manatee county line area.

Katrina wrecked shop in Mississippi. It was overshadowed by the levee failure just how wide the destruction really was.

yeah, mississippi got absolutely leveled. if the levees didn't fail, the effects on new orleans would've been like Ida, bad to horrible, but not absolute catastrophe. mississippi has nothing like that to point to, they just got absolutely shite housed by katrina.

I'm on Amelia Island just northeast of Jacksonville, and we are already getting pretty heavy gusts.

This should make next week interesting as I am going to be there starting Wednesday for vacation. Hope it dies down by then and everything is back up and running.

I was so happy I was in Wyoming when this came over my house. All my neighbors said they will never stay for another one. Prayers for all who are in the path.

know a lot of people hate reddit's layout and all, but the Tropical Weather subreddit is a fantastic resource for information

They perma-banned me for disagreeing that Puerto Rico should be made a full US state. At the end of the day Reddit is going to Reddit so be careful over there
