In Mandeville Covington on I12 today with steady stream of utility trucks and FEMA trailers headed east.

It always makes me feel good seeing this. I saw several headed South from North AL earlier.

I know they get paid well for what they do, but just having the ability to send the help from state to state means a lot.

I’m usually in these hurricane threads. Don’t know how I missed that. Now I can’t unsee it.

We are staying. It was a tough decision but with tornado warnings all over Alligator Alley in our path we stayed.

HWRF, the best model for intensity within our current timeframe, has a strong Cat 4 making landfall

I’ve been watching NBC 2. Their coverage is streaming on YouTube, making it easy to watch.

NOAA forecast for Orlando
quote:

A lot fo rain, a little wind. It should weaken pretty good by the time it makes it up there. Biggest worry for up there is tornadoes out ahead of the center. But being inside a Disney resort is probably one of the safer places to be.
. This is not necessarily true. The official NOAA weather forecast calls for gusts to 85 by Thursday morning in Orlando. But you are correct otherwise.

Ok thanks,

If anyone finds a news station down there that seems better, though, let me know. I just looked up which Ft. Myers station had the highest ratings and from what I could tell it was NBC2.

I could actually see it even lower than 939 depending on when EWRC completes
