I told my wife when we were planning the wedding that I would pay 100% of the honeymoon and I’m choosing where we go. I told her tell me where she definitely does not want to go and then I’ll decide after eliminating those options. If she wanted to choose the location she would have to help pay for it
Since there were covid travel restrictions at the time for going out of country it made it easier. Neither of us ever got vaccinated, but US restrictions were loose by this time. So we went to the Virgin Islands and had a great time. Spent 7 days drinking rum drinks, chilling on beach, driving a jeep around the island interior, eating good food, snorkeling the reefs and having sex. It was awesome and I spent only about 6k
