Yeah because that is the tenet this country was built upon.
Guilty until proven innocent is the name of the game for LEOs. It is a travesty.
They could have shot him as he reached back into the car and without a doubt guys like LNCHBOX would stick to the 'well, if he wouldn't have been so shady when he told the truth, he's still be alive.' He is incapable of blaming an officer without some qualifying comment about it being someone else's fault too.

I was waiting for this to show up here. Why didn't he just answer who he was instead of being immediately hostile to the police? And then he tries slamming the door? Just stupid.
Kid brought it on himself.
bring on the downvotes, but it's the truth.
I'm a "privileged" white male with no reason to fear the cops and I would have probably reacted identically as this kid. 3 cops roll up on you and you have no idea why. I'd be scared someones framing me or something, wouldn't want to say shite.

I titally agree that things should have been handled differently but I dont understand why its so damn hard to be respectful and compliant when police approach anyone. Its simple shite. Be polite and 99% of the time youll be fine.
"Under arrest? Hmmm I haven't done anything wrong. But you're the cop... What do I know lol!? Here are my hands. Please don't cuff me too tight!"

yes, we hail all have to prove our innocence outside of a court of law or an interrogation room Holy shite America- guilty until you can personally prove your innocence according to LSUballs
Well, LSUballs would not have been tazed and arrested. and not just because I'm white. It's called having a brain. I could tell right off the cops were pricks. Lots are. I'm sure when your black most all of them are. He chose to play dumb instead of explaining who the frick he was. Should he have to do that to these dick head cops? No. But if he does he doesn't get tazed and arrested.

Not reading 33 pages. Did the cops not ask for ID?
Posted on 7/15/16 at 4:41 pm to LSUballs
He did tell them who he was and shouldn't have to do their job for them. All they had to do was ask for ID. They obviously knew they should have, since they lied about it

Especially if I request to see the warrant and they just don't respond. I'd be sketched out.

Yea,. I'm not arguing on the side of the cops. They were wrong and shitty at thier job. I'm pointing out that the kid did himself zero favors by his attitude. If you think the kid handled the situation as best he could and he would have been tazed and arrested either way than, well, I don't know what to tell you. You're pretty clueless

He certainly could have obliged and it would have been easier. I'm simply saying I understand his point of view and can definitely see where he'd be freaked out.

If they cops tell you to put your hands on the car. Put your hands on the car. If he would have listened he could have then told them check my id while his hands where on the car and the situation would have never happened.
This is why the shite gets escalated. Listen to the damn cops. How hard is that to comprehend.
Amazing

Seems like the cops are doing the right thing.
All of you would be crying for the police if some maniac drove through a crowd of people, or shot up a night club, or flew a plane into a building.
Prob even if some protesters were on your property.

What does having your probation revoked mean? Like, let him off of probation?

What's your point? Is your point that it gives cops the right to lie and frick up an arrest? If not, then you have no point.
