I can clearly pronounce my own name
All of that you said, ok then how does sitting down and grabbing the steering wheel help him? Did he think they were just going to let him go?

So you would willingly and without protest allow yourself to be handcuffed, placed in a squad car and have your property rifled through simply for being the unfortunate victim of mistaken identity? Sorry, I don't believe that.
Most people here just think that could never happen to them. A bit naive.

Both the cops and Patrick acted like idiots.

Obviously the guy didnt help his case by trying to slam the door on the officers, but tbe cops are 100% wrong. The fact that they were abusing their power is not the worst part for me. But how he immediately tries to lie and cover himself up.
In this day and age with all the BLM bs, people think you have to automatically choose sides... Its ok to admit there are alot of shitty cops out there, such as the ones in this video.. While also admitting that the officers involved with Sterling and Brown was actually justified.

The video in the OP is propaganda from Patrick's lawyer. The raw videos from all three cops sheds light on the entire sequence.
I've seen them. They don't add mush other than the cops nagging family members about the resemblance in photos and a family member pleading for Patrick to cooperate AFTER he had been tased. Nowhere on the full vides do the cops ask for his identification. And they still lie about it.

Sure I conceded that earlier and have repeated it, they were wrong and should at least be suspended
Where do you admit Patrick's role in this? Does he share no responsibility for this sequence?

Yes, but less so than the cops, IMO. He could have kept it from escalating, bu the cops could have as well. They are to be held to a higher standard, IMO. They attempted to improperly serve a warrant, but not showing it when requested.

Police are supposed to be trained to handle varieties of encounters, I think we should expect more from them than the Patricks of the world.
40% of white males and almost 50% of black males are arrested before the age of 23. We have a huge problem and it isn't the population. It's the whole CJ system that over criminalizes and treats the public like the enemy. Cops really should be dealing with serious crime and increasing encounters through trivial laws and regulations only increases the danger to both cop and public.
There are legitimate reasons why people pucker up when they see a cop. I'll be the majority of posters here do when one is on their tail. It would be nice to trust law enforcement but the whole system needs to be revamped.

I cannot believe people are defending the police in this situation. Patrick handled this situation like a typical 24 year old would. He was scared since 3 cops came on him for no reason whatsoever, asked to see the warrant, and never tried to hurt anyone. The police instigated the conversation, tased based on a terrible assumption that Patrick looked like the person they were going for, and then lied after they realized they got it wrong. What a shame.

No, NONE of his actions are reprehensible, at all. I love how you Monday morning quarterback the situation from Patrick's perspective.
