I own rental property and I can choose to rent my units out to section 8 tenants anytime I want and make MORE money than I do in the open market. Know why i don't? Because section 8 tenants tear shite up and are a nightmare to deal with and complain about everything. You think that shitty little $1000 damage deposit even comes close to trying to cover the damages Kashera and her 2 kids, the 3 others and her sometimes boyfriend she didn't tell me about but try to sneak in my 3 bedroom unit in violation of her lease, are going to do to that unit? Ever try to take a welfare queen to civil court? Think, Jerry Springer meets Judge Judy meets The View.

One day you'll grow up and have things and want to protect them. You'll work hard for those things and when Uncle Sam squeezes your titty for his 30 share you'll curse those "poor souls" who fricked their life up while you worked for yours. I know a guy who has a BS in Accounting so should be making $60,000 - $75,000 K a year.

Somehow he ended up owning two section 8 apartment buildings now rakes in 1/4 million annually

People always had the opportunity to do section 8.
They do come inspect the place and require certain minimum standards. Problem is the contract is with the govt not the tenant. That means if you have a problem tenant then you have to deal with the govt to kick them out. As far as heat and ac that is on the govt to specify that as they make the rules not the property mgmt companies.

Typically I had duplexes that went for $500 older tenants that been with me along time and $600 a month that were updated in good shape hvac works, units updated, new windows, new doors, electrical updated to copper from aluminum wiring. The avg bills were $100 a month due to insulation, newer hvac unit, newer hot water heater, new windows, and fiberglass doors.

The duplexes around me got $1,200 from the guberment on section 8. Unite were not updated. Obama guberment let trashy people in that destroyed the area. Units went to crap even worse and brought down the area so bad I sold out. Heck the property owners never did repairs. Guess what two were black preachers and the section 8 tenants went to their church.

So whitey treated people fairly while black preachers stuck it to the guberment.

my old division manager was very well off due to section 8 housing. when he would get a year end bonus, it went straight to purchasing more properties.

If section 8 is such a shitty way to live, why aren't the people that live there doing everything they can to get out???

They would rather live off the governments tit than do something productive

Poor life decisions have consequences. If you decide to become a burden to the taxpayer you shouldn't complain.

Now I realize that doesn't apply to everyone who finds himself in this predicament, but I think it applies to a very large percentage.
