Big difference is Calcasieu Parish School Board allows for kids to enroll at a school they’re not zoned for whereas APSB doesn’t. I never knew that such a rule existed until a few months ago. Was told in the same conversation that it was up to each individual parish school board on whether they wanted to adopt this rule. I’ve never looked this up, so it’s entirely possible that I misunderstood something. Growing up in AP and understanding its dynamics, population areas, etc., there’s zero chance of APSB ever adopting said rule. Would certainly spice up things as it relates to sports, lol.
