I’d probably keep the kids vegan for now and wait until Louisiana cracks your daughter’s will. It will most certainly happen, as it’s far easier to be vegan up in Hippie-Ville than the land of seafood and smoked meats.

Don’t worry. Meat will get to them sooner or later and they won’t be able to resist.

If she never eats any meat at all and you drop a bunch of hot dogs on her, she is gonna spend the night shitting like a mule. I wouldn't do it....

You have other important question as well. Breakfast is coming... bacon and eggs, with Cap'n Crunch with milk is a good start. Pigs in a blanket. Tacos, cheeseburger or Sloppy Joe's for lunch? Think this through.

That’s a good idea but you better go find some real vegan dogs and throw a few out if you are going to go that route. Mom will check.

I know I probably don’t have to tell you, but you’d better check her knuckles first. It she’s vegan, Sonic may bring out the scrapper in her.

give her the hot dog. If they are forcing her to be vegetarian, it'll all fall apart one day anyway.

On the principle... I’m iffy about going over the parents heads on this, but in practice absolutely not. This girl hasn’t produced the digestive hormones to digest meat. If she eats meat, then she’ll be fricking sick. She’ll have stomach cramps and vomit.

You can’t do it, even if you want her to eat meat. The parents have to change or she has to want it once she knows the consequences of her actions.

Your relationship with your family is more important than giving a kid a hot dog. Don’t do it and make sure you tell your daughter that you didn’t. It will build trust

You can't get her a hot dog but if she asks for a sex change operation it's time to respect her feelings.

Did your daughter tell you not to give them hotdogs or other animal based protein?

I only know three adult vegans, but none of them force their children or spouse into it. They just won't make any animal based foods for them, which means the children and spouse are vegans by default since the vegan is the one preparing all of the meals.

Your daughter and SIL need babysitters way more than they want to adhere to their wing nut beliefs, trust me. They won't care if you bathed her in bacon grease as long as they have a dependable sitter on call.
