FYI
98% chance you were under the care of a CRNA not an anesthesiologist

Your worst fear is to die peacefully and painlessly while asleep?

They probably asked you a bunch of questions about your sex life while they had you under.

Have you done things you should be ashamed of?

Were they all grinning when you came to?

ETA:
In the 80's a friend's dad told me that on the elevator going to have his tonsils out my buddy kept saying, "Daddy, I'm so f*cked up" over and over. His parents, and our pastor were in there with him.

Not aware that Propofol induced euphoria. Used it a lot for peds sedation, the stuff works fast, but also dissipates fast. Great for quick procedures like a CT or MRI but had to watch their respiratory rate like a hawk, does not take much to stop their breathing.

I am not aware that Propofol causes a euphoric high, I thought Michael Jackson used Propofol to sleep.

I have pretty bad back issues and have another procedure this week…the shots and burns don’t do much anymore but that 10-15 minutes I’m under are the best ‘sleep’ I get and I am thankful for it.

As a person who has had 12 scopes, I can say without a doubt the pills are the way to go. Did the pill prep for the first time a month ago and hopefully will never need to use the liquid prep again.

Michael Jackson's drug of choice.

I took it for several weeks during a medically induced coma.

The line between dream state and reality blurs bigly.

The first time I had a colonoscopy the doctor woke me up during the procedure, pointed at the monitor to what looked to me like a red mushroom growing out of raw hamburger meat and said, "Mr. LSURussian, you have colon cancer." I didn't go back to sleep.

I had one last week and they used the same thing. I woke up (don’t remember) very angry. I later apologized to the doctor.

It’s a weird drug. Oddest thing is they say you aren’t truly asleep.

Yeah! I remember the anesthesiologist asking the Doc, are you finished. He said, Yes.
She said, "wake up Roy". I was wide awake.

Why don't most people choose this option?

A relative had surgery, & they administered propofol. He had the same reaction as you. He was addicted to opoids, said after he had no cravings, or withdrawals, and hasn't had any since. That was over 3 years ago.

Not my experience at all. Maybe it wasn’t propofol they gave me, but I woke up during the procedure and then mfers was giving me the business with elbow grease. They gave me more, and when I woke up I was not high.

frick all that shite.

But I did quite enjoy the many hours if water poo.

why do they seem to have the hotties as assistants for this procedure?

God bless them for it

My doc herself is a fine arse Korean. While explaining the procedure to me, she said "we're going to go into your butthole and...". I was kind of surprised she used that anatomy terminology.

I have to have another one on Wednesday morning. 2 day fast before this one. Starting today. I'm already freaking starving.
